  1. Things are looking amazing here!! I've been plugging along on the Mouse Rod .. had to rebuild the front after first attempt broke off but it's better now anyway. The air intake for the VW engine is about done which is shown in this update. The top scoop is from the Scorpian kit but cut down every which way. The rest is from sheet plastic. The VW fan shroud was also made fatter to accommodate the intake.
  2. I think Skip has it. I have a '51 Plymouth engine I'm working that I was looking for close up details of a few parts that I couldn't find on the web. I found a site of people owning '50 Plymouths and posted on their forum asking for photos of the specific items. One owner went out and got detail shots of everything I asked for. priceless! All these owners are proud of their cars and happy to share.
  3. This thread has been more than I ever thought it would be .. interesting thoughts! My screen name comes from the beginnings of the internet when I suddenly needed a name .. I was working at a Resort called Foxhollow and took that for many years. When I started playing Everquest, someone already had the Foxhollow name (grrr, the nerve!) so it somehow became Foxer and I've used it ever since. THIS site is the first place online that I have ever added my real name on line! That says something for Gregg and everyone on here. ") My avatar is an engine shot of a Porsche 944 I built while the 1:1 was out in the garage.
  4. Charlie's OLD SCHOOL! It's looking iffy for me as schedule is to be in NJ that weekend.
  5. What was he doing going around so fast he couldn't avoid it under a caution (at least) flag?
  6. Exactly what I was going to say!!!
  7. There was just a post today on making headers. If you're looking for ideas, post photos of what you're working with and I'm sure you'll get some.
  8. I have a diabetic reaction every time I come in here because of all the EYE CANDY! Everyone's imagination is running wild!
  9. This is looking great! I really like the slant on the rear of the cab.

    bantam roadster

Very nice! I like it presented as more a street roadster.
  11. Gorgeous build! It all looks just right and works together. I love that paint!
  12. It's Sunday morning and NO zombi progress.. oh no! Maybe it time for me to make a confession ... I hate Zombies! No, not like you all want to kill them ... I flatly refuse to watch any Zombie movie or anything having to do with them. Now, you all here have made me go against my convictions and I'm working on Mouse Rod Zombie Scout Car .. LOOKING for Zombies!!!!!! So, I better show something ... been working on the Browning M1917 and It's starting to look like something. Some more tiny bits to all and it's just pusher together here. Also got a first primer coat on the mouse. Engine has been stripped of chrome and starting to come together. One turbo was attacked by the zombie-carpet monster. ((
  13. Welcome Eric and holy cow .. you have a '49 Merc over there?! Do you drive it, I hope?
  14. Thanks for that link ... weapons are pretty scarce in 1/25. My Mouse Rod is rotting as I make a Browning M1719 machine gun.
  15. I'm late to this party, but I was amazed you cut ALL the doors open on this! Very nice. And it looks like all the thin posts made it through to the end ... that's sure come delicate building.
  16. Thanks ... I was just thinking it might get used up and also the unavailability of water. Your explaination gives me more leeway.
  17. Someone here recommended using google to search the MCM forum and I'm finding it works as well as googling the world at large. I saved the link of hiis example link and just edit the GMC in his line for what I want to search for. I can finally find an old thread here! This is the line to be used in a normal Google search: site:modelcarsmag.com gmc
  18. Just a small update to keep things going. I got the trame and interior sides epoxied to the mouse cover ... messily done for some welding mess. Instead of the orange, narrowed VW on top I'll free form some kind of mesh enclosure. I want to gt the main gun in shape before I start on that. There are some awesome guns in here, but I decided to make a Browning M1917 30 cal. Machine Gun since this is only a scout car. I liked the look of the water cooled model with the huge cooling barrel. I'll have to put a huge water tank in to insure it doesn't run out of water! I got a start on the body of the gun today and in in this photo drying.
  19. Everything you could possibly want: Evergreen Styrene Plasttruct
  20. Third! Thats what I believe has us all hooked on this hobby ... it's almost REQUIRED to change the model! Even the '32 Fords haven't exhausted the ways it can be built.
  21. Zombies wouldn't stand a chance against one of these ..
  22. That's a creative paint job!!
