That's a beautiful drop in this one!
  2. ack .. this link brings up a Malware alert and Firefox refuses to go to it. I'd guess this page no longer exists. I even tried without the "catalog.html" page in the link.
  3. A few new photos out in the wilds. This was my everyday day car year round in Western Massachusetts. Eventually I was able to get winter tires in sport sizes.
  4. Thanks for the info on using that tape. My avatar is a model of one of the Porsche 944's I had. I actually had to post a thread because everyone has asked me about it! Here's a link to that thread. I'm adding a photo of the real engine to it as I see it is missing.
  5. This seems pretty quick ... wired already! Looks promising. You should mention disposable gloves to the mechanics. There's another way to measure things besides inches??
  6. That will defiantly be a worthwhile build.

    3 oldies

So, only the bike started in that weather? cool ..
  8. Something I'd expect to see pull up to the diner ... 40 years ago! Very nice.
  9. That's quite an eye opening color! I like it. The foil work is outstanding.
  10. Truck looks fantastic ... and the photos are stunning! Great job all around!
  11. I love "slants" ... my five water cooled Porsches were all "slant 4's" I got the Lindberg kit just for the slant 6! Something to think about when this gets going would be some hot rod parts for it. I believe Chrysler offered these in an engine upgrade even.
  12. This is spectacular! Mark took the words out of my mouth as to how everything flows from one panel to another and the whole works together beautifully.
  13. This is defiantly my kind of build ... something you wish to own in the future. Sorry to hear about the paint, but it brings up a question. Were the red scripts on the side decals? If so, hope you can locate more after the repainting.
  14. That first video was a screen capture of the 3DS Max 3D graphics program ... the one I use.
  15. I have some Krylon Semi-flat black that I've used for years on many different kits and on the bare plastic with no problems. It says Interior/Exterior on the can but no other description other than stuck on paint code of #1613. Also has a list of safe materials that includes plastics. Maybe there's a new formulation.
  16. HINGES ARE GLUED ON DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went back to the old tried and true ... taped the hinges in place and glued on piece at a time with Ambroid. And it worked .... eheh After looking at the closeup photo it looks like one of the bottom hinges may need adjustment, but I feel good! I'm going to let these dry over night and apply some epoxy "welding". I could use some suggestions as to how I lock the hinge pins in place. I did try crimping an end but the pins are too loose for this to work well. I've never used this type of hinge before. Maybe I should just put a drop of epoxy or superglue on the ends.
  17. I had to look up Hacky Sack, eheh. Not sure how big they are but probably filled too much anyway. Might have been a possibility if I had known of them sooner.
  18. oh, it's a Chevy! Well, that explains it. Ahhhhhh.. DON'T KILL ME!!! I was just kidding!!!
  19. Hopefully you all aren't getting sick of this continuing hinge sage .. I sure am! The pieces are all made and on the alignment rod. Now I need 3 more hands with thin fingers to hold as I glue ... nothing new here. I tried using silly putty to hold the rod as I aligned everything to add glue but it didn't want to keep things planted ... a combination of not sticking and softness I think. I may try again. If anyone has ideas on how I can hold this all in place I'd love to hear. I do want to use regular liquid cement. The end rings with the flat shim pieces need to be glued to the plates you see on the door. Meantime, I started building up the interior door panels to match the interior panels shown previously. And, I got afraid of the delicate arms on the correct GMC rear view mirrors I got from Nick, so I replaced the arms with bent aluminum tubes that will all be epoxied together and chromed with Alclad or a chrome powder.
  20. 10 year build is pretty fast in my book and I really like the look. Nice proportions and the interior looks fantastic.
  21. Welcome, Rob. A lot here with the same story. My two layoffs from the hobby were about 28 and 10 years and I'm back for good now. Good to see another MA ... there a few of us here.
  22. WoW on that hood! I sure hope you're gonna stick on this one to the end ... and all here!
  23. Only if it came from someone else ...
  24. Nice work, Jon!
  25. I follow completely ..was explained well. This is giving me ideas to ... a very interesting idea.
