  1. Hope everything works out well, Bob.
  2. That site is very well done.. simple and shows the products well. Think I'll just go look again and drool.
  3. That has just a beautiful flow to the body. The fender line carried into the rear pan is especially nice.
  4. Just remember, it's not typically the wire size that is important. The wire insulation is what you typically use for plug and other rubber, insulated wires. This not a standard size, but the wire gage does give an idea once you become familiar with wires.
  5. With the '37 Ford Pickup still in good supply it seems this is a good candidate for an unusual build. This was made by the Ford Motor Company and not some one-off wonder. Here's a link to additional photos and some history.
  6. I little sandpaper might give another 5 mph on the strip. Looks fantastic!
  7. Congratulations .. and enjoy.
  8. Yay for another Bus! That color should be looking very good!
  9. I was going to leave a long comment on how good this looks, but I noticed my hair is out of place when looking at your paint!!!
  10. raises hand to say I'm still here and enjoying every second and smiling at your work in every update!
  11. Very nice build. I used to watch Tasca run at Connecticut Dragway ... not telling when.
  12. The trick is to hold the two parts together and then apply it using a brush or some other tool, as George mentions. It will run between the two pieces and weld the joint.
  13. Fascinating! That sandpaper really does a convincing job.
  14. Now, THERE'S how to get the juices flowing again! What a cool and great looking build...
  15. A very small update as this project starts to gel .. the wood door strips didn't work out that great, but may have been due somewhat to my just testing this method. The wood creased at the point of the most extreme curvature and was unsuitable. It may be overcome with more practice, but I see the rear doors requiring greater bends and will explore Dave's "cut it out" procedure. I still feel either method would be workable in the end. on other fronts.. this will NOT be what my build ends up I also came upon a v1deo of the start up of the flat black 4CV with twin-turbo Subaru engine above showing the widened fenders before they were completely filled in. just as point of interest.
  16. WOW! What a varied set of great builds there..! Thanks for the show, Pat. that yellow Barracuda really intrigued me.
  17. My faith has been restored! .. thanks, Pat. .. so, George builds models?
  18. Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has the most realistic distributor caps IMO. They have the posts molded and drilled out. Most others just have holed drilled in a flat top. There are some photos here of Norm's caps.
  19. oh! ..hadn't seen Chilly's topic right after yours.. you're forgiven..
  20. You been on the bench too long, Bernard. Think you're going bonkers! ehhee
  21. I have used the purple pond to try removing the red coating on some tail lights. It didn't remove that coating or hurt the part.
  22. I've used Dupli-Color Chrome and have been surprised how well it comes out .. not Aclad, but has a use. I like it as polished stainless steel.
  23. That looks SO good..clean as a whistle.
  24. My guess is that VW has one or two modifications from the street version. Some really good detail shots there
  25. Two great kits there and this sounds like it will look good. Those wheels ARE fantastic looking!
