  1. Many well done and creative touches here and overall it all comes together!
  2. This site has some incredible photos of the 2010 Dakar Rally, this year in South America for safety.
  3. I love the basic black!!
  4. ahhh,, an Aston!! I'm going to have fun just WATCHING this build. Nice job winding those rear springs.. they really add to the look.
  5. A cool scene. The interesting part is that double yellow marks no parking zone in the land of green..I assume
  6. I have no experience with this site, but I get leary when they show no photos of their product.. just some collected photos of the 1:1.
  7. I need to replace my snowmobile with one of those!
  8. Stands up and cheers!!! I always thought that box looked too normal..I never saw the rear end. My confidence in Citroen is restored! The engine fits perfect..love it.
  9. grats ya Old Hermit and to everyone else! Was a VERY close run down the strip!
  10. I'm be done if I had to do that decal job! It looks fantastic!

Those fat slicks would make my Renault 3 times as wide as normal...! ..they sure look phat on this with that altered wheelbase, though. The welds look pretty good (well, they DO look like they were done by a squirrel) OK, this IS looking grand!
  12. haha CB ... you mean something like this? I DO love this look with huge rear fenders, but so far I'm resisting the urge The 40 Ford front grill has been in my mind ... it does have a extended nose, but like you say, may need to be cut down some. The 40 may fit better with it's narrowness, but I always liked the look of the 39 more.. Now that you mention it, I believe I have both and will have to give a closer eyeball.
  13. I didn't realize you had "lost" the first axle in September ..what a bummer. This one SURE looks good, though!
  14. and a GREAT looker to boot, Ed!!

I like the build and look. but whats with those wheels? The spokes look like they are turning in all the photos..has to be just the reflection off the paint/coating, but kind of cool. :0
  16. Nice upholstery job, especially on the seats! Those seams are flawless.
  17. completely different .. a pleasant change and looks great!
  18. Weren't the 32 Fords over done by 1968?
  19. It must be that top, but this has the best 50 Ford proportions I've seen in some time. Think you have a looker in the works. and .. good to see ya back on the workbench, Bernard.
  20. That's one fine turbo you've ended up with. A great looking turbo AND tutorial!
  21. I smoked for 47 seven years ... up to 2 packs a day. About one and a half years ago when I retired I figured time to quit as those things are getting real expensive! My crutch is Chantix and it really does work. It's about a 2 month process on these pills, but it took the craving right away. It gets you pact the worst period and has not been too tough staying away. Sure the cravings are there and I have cheated a little, but it's working. Just another option.
  22. That's the link I posted above. Still seems to be something amiss with the site.
  23. I had some 1/32 basswood lumber on hand so tried Harry's bending method. I do like the idea of not spending all the time carving out a cut shape, but that's just my laziness showing. The basswood bent to the large curve on the front door easily. The rear door piece is mostly straight but has sharp 90 degree bends at each end, as can be seen in the attached photo. I suspect this piece would would need two splices. I'll see how this goes and may be getting the heavy duty Dremel out later to try Dave's suggestion.
  24. I like the idea of the screw-in paint cups. I have an Iwata Revolution TR2 which is a trigger airbrush and I've been very happy with. I'm by no means an airbrush expert so I'd recommend goggling it and seeing what's been said by more knowledgeable people.. or ask here, of course.
  25. The bits of weeds growing all over it really adds to the effectiveness .. very cool dio!
