I would tend to let them be as tribute to your younger building days. I'd love so much to have some of the stuff I build 50 years ago! I guess it depends on actual damage needing repair. If you can get some photos up so we can see, there are many here that have revived old, built kits from the primitives ages that can help. Now,in the meantime, welcome to the forum back to the hobby and go get a NEW kit to start cutting up!!

A laser printer might have better luck with the "ink" sticking, but remember it uses heat in the process. It could be a bit sticky printing on plastic! I don't know the answers, but some good questions going on here. Very interesting. I might have an old ink jet in the basement that wouldn't mind giving up it's life for an experiment.
