  1. That looks fantastic! ..just like a local shop would run..
  2. styrene doesn't flex like paper, so I'd try maybe .01 sheet. This could depend a lot on how much your printer bends the sheet around the roll. Defiantly clean well and maybe even some light roughing of the surface. Let us know how it goes if you try it.
  3. I have a early 60's dragster working in the Lion's Drag strip build off and hit a wall concerning a period correct seatbelt. I'd assume these were 4-point setups in 1962, but I've found little on line info or photos to get these at least close to looking proper. I'd appreciate any info you guys can dredge up from your failing memories as I know some of you were actually driving the strips during this period! Does someone make a PE set for these old belts?
  4. Is it just me, or weren't Mustangs and Camaros slippery as stink even on dry, summer roads?
  5. Will be fun watching this get built! That engine detail sure looks nice, but that one of my pet peeves, even with 1/25 models. All that beautiful engine detail being completely hidden! I almost don't want to put together such lovely parts.
  6. good looking interior!
  7. VERY nice job on that!!!
  8. I've lived in New England all my life . I am retired age, mind you and I've never purchased a vehicle with winter in mind for myself. (my wife gets 4-wheel drive and winter tires). I've also never owned more than one car at a time in any shape, form or garbage heap. I have always had cars towards the performance side. .. That's performance, not just Horsepower. Most have been 4 cylinder engines. And I've never had a car that couldn't travel ok in winter .. when properly equipped. That means WINTER TIRES! It's surprising how well my TR4, 5 Porsches, many rear drive Chevy, Pontiac, Plymouth and now Infinity with 330 HP just go through the snow with little problem. Yes, my wife's Audi is probably the BEST winter car ... it moves when the bottom is being scraped!
  9. This makes you look. weather you like it or not, and I like it!
  10. This is cool.. love those MASSIVE front paws!
  11. heheh ..cool. They must have had only a half sheet of plastic.
  12. I just happened on this site from a non-model place and thought some might be interested if you haven't been there. I can't even dream of reaching the skill level of these modelers! It would appear that NO plastic kits were harmed (or, opened) in the making of these models! The Internet Craftsmanship Museum
  13. Welcome to the forum and that paint job IS very shiny! Nice job on that! Another source of wheels is Pegasus, which makes many styles.
  14. Well. I love it. Might have found a place for my bean bag chair ...
  15. It just goes to show you, GM had about as much respect for the buyers of their models as they did for the buyers of their metal products ...
  16. looking great on that front axle ... those holes are hurting MY eyes!!
  17. bah .. hehehe I see the "Replies" doesn't count the original post
  18. Three weeks left .. this could be my FIRST completion this year! But, I always have fun, finish or not ... that's the objective! The frame is painted and I've been engine assembling and doing fuel wires ... that's what what all the tiny pieces are. All the fuel connections are cut from various rod. The body might get painted tomorrow, or the next day, depending how I feel.
  19. I didn't go to my LHS today, but I caught post #1000
