Looks fantastic ,, love that up in the air stance. That barber pole drive shaft is cool!
  3. I use Zip Kicker and it will attack styrene is used too liberally. It's just a kind of a roughening up the surface, kind of mild. I always apply with a toothpick or loosen the spray and drip on from the end of the tube. You can buy larger bottles of it to refill the spray bottle.
  4. Very nice!!! Everything you did looks right.. wheel wells, windshield and the hood! Great meats too! Excellent!!
  5. Well said, Harry.
  6. That looks well on it's way to one fine roadster!

  12. This is one of Dave's paint posts I had saved link... he has a few... It's about using cans, but good advice in it. rattle cans I started modeling when I was 8 and am now retired and I'm just beginning to learn the ins and outs of paint And welcome to the forum. Perfection is a good thing to strive for as long as you remember it's impossible to achieve. I just retired as a Structural Engineer with a Consulting Engineering/Architecture company. My idea of the "perfect" architect was those that would fire back with a completely new idea when told the one they had was not possible for one reason or another. Their original idea of perfection would change as the building was worked out ... perfection was just making it do what it was supposed to for the client.
  13. That's looking really good so far. A pretty high class station with those 2 huge bays!
  14. hehe.. everything's a game to Harry! Answer will be posted in a week .. winner will receive , well, nothing, but can gloat over their wn for hours after the answer is posted!!! hint: Look at everyone's Name/avatar area and you'll see this. It's just the board name for frequent posters.. Since our fearless leader is in Hawaii, and not Chicago, it's not called "Capone's Boys".

    C-WAGON

    Looking good!
  16. eCool .. I just got a 61 Valiant glue bomb which was from the same series to restore. Yours looks like it survived it's original build much better. Looking good!
  17. Both of these are cool looking kits. If I ever see one in the flesh, it will be the first time. My childhood build memories are of the NEW AMT 58 T-bird and the 25 T Bucket... hehehe. I was out chasing girls when these were first issued. Think I'm too old for Tom Daniels. I'll be anticipating some radical and cool alterations of these here .. so get yours and get building!!
  18. hehe.. and you should be seeing the instruction sheet showing up in your in box for the site, Bob
  19. a neat idea and project. some kind of scale along whatever edge to slide against for spacing maybe.

  23. ah cool .. the Dingo Dirty Rally is about to begin!!
  24. Here's a pic I had downloaded for reference showing a 61 2-door from what looks like a factory rendering, maybe from an ad. and a 2-door photo of a 61.
  25. That mono paint scheme really shows what distinctive lines the Valaint's had ... they all show through!
