I could never hate something as good looking as this build! That engine bay really looks good.
  2. I DID see a toothy little kid in a bright red petal car with flames heading into the mall yesterday... was all over the road like he owned it! I'm glad I didn't honk at him now! Looked like he went into Macy's for the Before School Sale.
  3. Is she STILL baby sister? Love those extended rear fenders.
  4. That IS pretty incredible! Even has an engine.. and looks as good as AMT's version!
  5. Looks well organized and a comfortable place for magic.
  6. I'd suggest a photo or two of what you're looking for and will get many more suggestions. I avoid Jeeps like the plague and have no idea what these look like.
  7. amazing! That's quite an extension on the door for the hinge. I gotta go look at the finished pics now..
  8. The photos are great .. especially the shot of the rear is very realistic, as is the wood.
  9. Defiantly some Hot Bodies there!! ....don't forget to put the cap back on that little jar black paint
  10. 1807 looks like a '92 .. where's that one from?
  11. That looks cool. Was the right choice of colors .. defiantly scaly!
  12. A great looking build .. very nice! I always loved the '65's, but my father had a turquoise one. Too bad you can't replicate the wallow it had rounding corners!
  13. This reminds me, I need to polish out the VW Bug on my workbench.
  14. I got to admit, all of Ron's Crown Vic's look good. Subtle differences, but you know where they came from.
  15. Even so, I'd sue the NYPD if they dented that rear bumper... harassment is one thing, but dents and scratches are another!!
  16. Woot, woot, woot!!! I want to see them babies CUT and hacked up!!
  17. [issues an all all-points to the Portland Police to be on the lookout for a white import with huge rising sun graphic. Stop if sighted to hassle, provoke and scare the heck out of driver just on principle!] Thanks for the comments Rodney and Nick.
  18. That's neat, Bob. Looks like the thin foam makes a great light box to reduce shadows. The lighting is also very even in your photos.
  19. That is a beautiful body ... and a stunning kit ... and one fantastic build!
  20. I love the look of this. A commendable job on the weathering. Interesting how you applied it, as my take on weathering is to apply it just as it is in real life. A coating kicked up from a road is very difficult to replicate .. I just want to know who the 1/25 driver you hired to run this through your back yard was?
  21. Despite the summer weather finally arriving in the Northeast, I managed to get some paint on and actually polished out the lovely replica orange peal in the clear coat! The paint is Light Titanium Metallic Clearcoat, same as on the 1:1 car and ordered from Paintscratch.com. This paint went on beautifully. I used about 4 coats of Testors One Coat Lacquer "wet look clear" rather than the clear from Paintscratch. I should have stopped at 3 coats as this one was pretty smooth ... the fourth one got the "peel". At any rate, it's been a LONG time since I advanced a body to final polishing and I'm happy .. even with the paint!! So, I couldn't resist popping the lights in and the wheels on for some pics.
