  1. Congrat's again George, and cars will be cars in his future. Only thing that changed from my youth is 4-on-the-floor is now 6!
  2. Aha! Now, that makes sense ... getting the picture.
  3. Keep this up and it will have to mounted in a museum! Those tail lights ARE cool.
  4. Thanks for the link. That is an amazingly low price from the last time I looked into this. Holy cow... I'm having dreams of never before kitted models swimming in my head! I have 3D Meshes of vehicles guys here would kill for.. eheh
  5. defiantly some engineering going on there ... WoW!
  6. WOOT! Congratulations Grandpa George! What a name for a future modeler in all the mags!!! Glad everyone doing well and I say he is REAL! ..oh, the model.. that's a well done fake..
  7. That's awesome! I've often wanted access to a prototype machine, but way beyond my resources. Do you have access through your work? I have modeled in 3ds Max for years and have many really good meshes I would have loved to be able to do this with. I'm surprised at how thin you can get the body with this. I'd love some more info on the process and I'm sure the other modelers here would too.
  8. UP with Wagons! SUV's are just TALL Wagons!! Who'd of guessed all these fantastic pieces of iron (plastic) were hidden away in the garages of all you members!!! I love em all!!
  9. I love over sectioned cars .. this one DOES it for me!!
  10. These were from a LHS? Were they sold as open, "As Is" kits? Seems you should get better satisfaction from a shop... this sounds more like Ebay. I guess Aoshima would be my first stop to try to get replacement parts if this isn't too old a kit.
  11. I like your layout.. gives a nice yard/drive area to display your builds. I might shift the house away from the barn just slightly to open it a bit, or leave as is and take some off the left edge to make the whole thing a bit smaller for easier "mobility" as Zuk mentions.
  12. I bought AMT's first 58 TBird ... and those awesome car kits made me retire my Hopalong Cassidy guns.... well, they were still needed to persuade my Dad to get me another kit...
  13. aha.. I KNEW it reminded me of something! think of this in pink .....
  14. oh, nice! The garage is getting busy already!! Those are some cool looking vehicles
  15. Not sure what kind of stuff you might be looking for so I'll add the 1/24 scale is also 1/2" = 1'-0" which is a common scale for doll house items too.
  16. I shudda known when I started this that George would find a way to change the topic to burrito's !!! ... but, now I'm hungry.
  17. You need something to do as you decide how to fix the one you're currently working on! ... that's MY excuse anyway
  18. coming out real well! Are you building an addition to your garage to house this baby??
  19. jaw hanging open ... that is looking SO good!
  20. I like this one. nice chop and the yellow with the red accents really pops.
  21. great looking paint job! How did you do the stars? .. decals?
  22. Oh Yeah! I love that Buick Waterfall .. and that paint is wonderful! That pattern under the side trim looks fantastic!
  23. Thanks Frank and Rodney. I did kinda make you have to work to see .. ehehhe
  24. I've heard tell that Humbrol respond to brushes well, but that is an awesome job going there, Janne!
  25. Step 1. Get a Photobucket account. I think Photobucket is the easiest one to use, both for navigation and to get the link you need to paste in your posts here. Click here to go to Photobucket.com Step 2 Click "Join Now" on the blue bar on top and get an account. I believe this part is straightforward, just fill in a user name ...you can use George53 .. and a password. This is all free, so don't do anything they want to talk you into.. upgrading your account and such eheh. Step 3 Once you get an account, remember your password, and when at your "site" save the page to your Favorites or however you save web pages to your browser. .. continued next time when you hit this point...
