  1. I'm finally back on my Comp Vicky and got a question for ya all. What type of seat belts were used in 1962 in dragster framed cars? Interior photos from that era are few and far between. I expect just a 5-point harness is the ticket, but would like to hear from all the experience here.
  2. Mr. NONAME 3men2s: .. that is slim and meaty! looks great!
  3. a few horses there.. and the PAINT JOB! ..it really comes off!
  4. I like it! Has a different look.. and that engine looks great in it.
  5. I like the shape of Mr Potato head in da wood with the goo-goo-googly eyes!
  6. I heard Gregg only gives a "senorita" discount.
  7. I should never post images of this truck without my normal lead in .. from my Under Glass post: On second thought, I LOVE posting pictures without a word! George is the only one that defended me .. you da man! and Zipper.. didn't mean to steal your thread .. anyone used any of those sites to order custom bumper stickers?
  8. I remember, though a bit worn over the years. I didn't look too hard, but there are many custom bumper sticker sites where you could have some made.
  9. At least he doesn't have white hair like half the people here!
  10. I think George really said it. I too don't build trucks (I have NO room to display them! ), but that doesn't mean I don't look and appreciate the work going into them. I don't comment much on any trucks, but mostly because I'm pretty dumb as to what I'm looking at. We do get many builds shown here that don't get a ton of comments, but that does NOT mean the posts are unappreciated. I for one think another post by me just saying "GREAT BUILD!" starts to get repetitive and eventually appreciated less than If I DIDN'T comment. I only look using "view new posts" so I DO see everything that goes up and probably not a one post that I don't appreciate! I have been building mostly cars I have owned recently and it you think trucks don't get a big response, you should try a plain jane Crown Victoria!! Just don't let the reply count get you down .. that is NOT a reflection on your hard work. Use the View count if you must. And, glad to have you here!
  11. Well, believe it or not, I have an Infiniti J30 kit here. If it comes to it, I can get some dimensions for you and photos of the body. Unfortunately, I can't spare the kit as I stole all the PE logos (I know these wouldn't be needed) for the G35 I'm doing and am planning on sawing off the rear end to mount on the back of another "over-done" custom ... you'll never guess what it is! Just ask if you'd like to see any of this.
  12. 10 years! I sure missed a lot .. congrats Gregg! But, I HAVE been catching up with back issues and loving every word! now the countdown starts 14 ..
  13. First, very interesting glass treatment .. that should really improve the lot! I am not an in depth expert, but the 962, even though it's a modified 956 for for the States, is a different car. The bodywork changed on both over the years they were in service. It sounds like Tamiya really did them right if they don't match!
  14. This is amazing technology .. the parts look fantastic. Are these 1/8 scale?
  15. I've just been searching for 1/24th scale stuff for a diorama and have a few links for ya I had saved. G scale railroad and 1/2" to the foot doll house items are the same as 1/24th scale. Wine and Liquor bottles white wine more wine and liquor ..might be same as above
  16. Relive the past? . you are really STRREEEEETCHING it! eheh Those are some long ones. I have a few kits sitting down below that are meant to re-do some builds I did in the 60's but were thrown out. Why did I ever do that? Everything I did in my younged days got trashed during moves because I didn't want to store them and I thought I'd never care.
  17. This has been an interesting thread and I did eventually get somewhat of an idea how doors are cut with thread. As I continued going through old issues of MCM I came on one article where Gregg had photos of him thread-cutting a door. No Obsessive knees were harmed in the thread ... he had the body clamped to the desk!
  18. I've never even HEARD of this tool. Would love to see more.
  19. The body looks fantastic, Peter! I agree completely on all the lines of it you expounded on. You sure chewed up that block of wood and spit it out all curvey and beautiful! Can't wait to see what you get from the vacuum forming process.
  20. Sorry if I drooled on the pics of the resin boxes, Bob.
  21. Those seats defiantly have that sparkle vinyl look in that image!
  22. Have a great day! ...and, we get all the goodies with your Merc build!!!
  23. Very good weathering .. not just poured on, but well thought out and realistic. I can see how you sell these!
  24. This one is sweet! (I never use that term, but can't resist here! ) The story and the sepias add to it all.
  25. Those wheels/tires look great ...overall a cool looking build!
