  1. That's great looking paint.. love it!
  2. ... speechless
  3. I had to spend those 2 years sitting in the wet German woods babysitting a nuclear missile. But, we did have some neat cruises ... driving a tracked M454 Pershing Missile Carrier through small German towns with full support convoy behind. HONEST .. we didn't mean to make the people run! My copy of Sgt. Pepper is a German version ... pretty much the same in all ways.
  4. Those '57 fenders for the bed even LOOK proper! This one will be unique ... very cool!
  5. My first was bought in 1964 from my aunt who owned it since new, a 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook. I was just in college and poor, so the $75 price was right. It had the old L-head 6 and maybe 70k miles on it. It ran ok but never wanted to start in the New England winter until the day I sold it. My Dad would back his 56 VW Kombi into the driveway and me the Plymouth in front. It would push start in about 5 feet, but rarely on it's own. Since school was taking all my cash I made some freshening to it by painting all the metal trim inside gloss black and dying all the doors and headliner black. The seats were some covers from J C Whitney. The crowning touch was red seat belts added to the front seats. The wheels in the photo are just fake mag wheel covers from JC also. Not exactly a read burner, but it got me around and I learned to shift (3 on the column) on it.
  6. I thought BMW was building them much better than that! .. weathering looks great!
  7. I LOVE those fenders ... .. but admitting nothing!
  8. Beautiful plank job! The wood looks fantastic!
  9. The skull looks great after blending in. And that dash is perfect ... fantastic job on that one! ))
  10. Just some more encouragement to keep this flowing for EVERYONE! The trick with glue for memory release was a new one for me.
  11. Booooo! I thought maybe SKWIRLY had found a drinking buddy! That back end plastering is really over the top.. eheh
  12. That is some ULTRA DEEP black there.. nice!
  13. That thing is HUGE! I didn't know anything was available in that scale ... fill us in.
  14. Some nice Naugahyde there! You probably end up better printing using a paper better than decal paper. I find I get limited as to resolution on most decal paper. I liked the idea of sanding to thin the paper.
  15. That is nicely aged ... beautiful!
  16. The name matches this image already!
  17. This site has examples of plates from across the globe. You'd have to save the photos and use a drawing program to add your own numbers to it. Bumper stickers ... this site will let you do a custom plate or bumper sticker and you can save the result for printing. I used this site to make plates for the VW I had while stationed in Germany in the late 60's. I saved a jpeg image of the correct plate and edited it in Photoshop to add my correct plate numbers and then made decals to apply to an aluminum can and cut out the plate. Ryan's method of printing on photo paper is probably much easier for most people and yields a good looking plate. Blankplates.com : many plates with no numbers including older state plates. A good start to create your plates.
  18. Those HUGE, low profile tires are gonna give a ride so hard Igor is gonna bounce and put a hump in that smooth roof ... well. maybe he'll like the re-sculpturing
  19. This is really cool. I like the coupe and the skull. Are you going to make the skull blend in smooth with the hood?
  20. I have to answer this too .. it's a MODELER'S thing! I have no sealed boxer's here. I have to open and TOUCH everything .. whether I start building it or put in the pile of "probably never get to it" boxes.
  21. A nice array there, but, you need MORE on the table!!
  22. Foxer

    old school 32

Looks pretty cool. Really like the grill look.
  23. Those are some great subjects! Never seen most of them modeled in 3D before and all look spectacular regardless! and he has a Merc!!!!!
  24. A smooth Merc needs clean and smooth ...
  25. 75 Pontiac Grand Am ... hehehe..George you ARE weird! I dislike most 70's American iron as they really lost it, imo .... but that Pontiac IS a good looker! (had to goggle it to see!) Pontiac always retained their design sense through the "bad days". My 3D modeling has really suffered in recent times as my plastic modeling has taken over. Doing a car from scratch is probably beyond my current abilities and, even more, my time. I've dome more modifying of car meshes I've found or bought on the web. 3D car meshes is what really got me into 3D from the start in the early 90's .. I have over 500 car meshes in 3D I've acquired over the years. I checked the Pontiac meshes I have, ten of them, but they were mostly 90's versions ... nothing close to a '75. Maybe Tim will take this to heart ... that would be a great body to do.
