  1. Wow Ron ... three Crown Vics and no light bars! Those are good looking.. especially like the silver one with dog dishes. And whats that roof on the sharp red one? As far as the light bar, I just through that in as a joke. This was the civilian edition my Dad had. Your silver one looks to be the same color this is scheduled for.
  2. That defiantly looks like a fun build. I'm anxious to see it without all the glue smudges we all recall from building the original!! :(
  3. I'm in .. there's no going back now, Mike. very interesting ...!
  4. oh.. cool! I never looked close at that one .. they ARE correct. Thank for pointing me in the correct direction.
  5. OH My! (jaw on the floor)
  6. cool! That will be a fun one to weather. Might take the heavy aluminum foil method for that front fender dent. This is gonna be DIRTY!
  7. I agree with the last set of wheels .. they look great on the car. I'd love to see a step thru building the Ross Gibson engine, Marcos. Those have to be in the details but I've never seen one up close and personal.
  8. ah ok. I don't think anyone makes the correct VW rims with proper center opening showing. Pretty sure the Gunze kit I did is the same.
  9. Yay VW's! good to see these coming along ... Hard to tell from pics, but do you have real VW rims on the bug? I'd love to find a set of those steelies.
  10. The interior panels are a great touch!
  11. Very nice!
  12. hehe.. yes, I have a bottle of Pine Sol ... next to the Purple Pond, Lestoil, Clorox and brake fluid. All work

    My 1981 Z28

This is my kind of build ... of an owned 1:1 car. Great job on this one!
  14. I'm in the Berkshire Mountains (Hills) but you got my view beat! nice...
  15. NOW you're talking, Andy!! P.S. Check with Harry in a couple days..
  16. The only thing saving you, Dave, is that this is my Father's car... he was NOT a car guy ... he wasn't sure cars had 4 wheels (he never bothered to walk around and count them) ... If I gave you a list of his cars you would fall asleep before I ended.. and he only owned 7 cars in his 88 years of life!
  17. Nice to see more progress The tires look great!
  18. ah yes .. I love it when the 1:1 garage comes to the modeling table. looking good!
  19. A Stude after my own heart.
  20. That gooks great!!!! Thank Ford for that loooong hood, short deck!
  21. The boring NINETY-TWO Crown Vic is in primer! Did first mock up to check stance. Still some putty on the SHO wheel scripts. The clear red on the tail lights is proving to be reluctant to come off. They've been in the purple pond for 4 days and not a hint of removal. May have to sand and refinish before making them all red. I'd just do the clear in red but doubt the reds will match. Overall I'm happy with this conversion. There's still some icky masking on the body to do after the main coat of paint, but it looks right in my eyes. And to all you Crown Vic fans out there...NO.. you CANNOT put a light bar on this!!
  22. I vote with Clay .. big wheels are one thing, but clearance for tree stumps is another! I love those 50 Studes .. AMT was supposed to actually release one some years ago.. how unfortunate it got canceled. Just as a side note, a friend of my daughter's just bought a 57 Studebaker President in great shape and original condition. A 289ci V8 and a good paint job. I was floored to see a 29 year old kid purchase it! Cars are safe with the next generation I'm happy to say!
  23. It looks nothing short of brilliant against the photo of the real one!!
  24. that's one realistic looking manifold!
  25. And when do we see this under glass might I ask? Yeah, "you don't take pictures" After seeing that 427 and this story we won't take "don't" for an answer. We can show you how with the least effort and expense. I REALLY want to see that Merc.
