  1. Congratulations! There is hope. I am in my 10th month of unemployment, and it gets downright depressing at times. I wish you the best
  2. Ryan, I am truly impressed. Great job!
  3. Happy birthday, Gregg. Thanks for the great magazine, website and forum, and your untiring support of this great hobby that brings us all together!
  4. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  5. Dave, thank you for sharing your knowledge and sharing it. I look at your work and am amazed and motivated. I would sure love to meet you someday! Take care, Rod.

  6. George, it shouldn't be embarassing, but I will say this, it shows that you are a stand-up guy!
  7. Very Cool! That was a year before I was born, sorry.
  8. Obviously a fantastic chair for a great husband from a wonderful wife!
  9. When I was comparing moto tools, I picked the Black and Decker RTX-1. It had almost double the power of the same type of Dremel(corded). It is a multi-speed tool, and I haven't found any Dremel accessories that won't fit it.
  10. I truly enjoyed your painting tutorial. I would love to learn how to cover interiors in leather. Thank you in advance.
  11. Anthony, thank you for posting this. It is not something I would have thought about when I get to building mine. I will pray for Dennis, and the doctors and nurses that are treating him!
  12. The car is looking GREAT! I too am working on different cars and trucks, using wheels/tires/parts from diecast models. You also have great skills. Keep the progress pictures coming!
  13. 138 mph in a 1993 Infiniti I30, 5 speed. The fuel shut-off kicked-in. 115 on my Harley Road King, not fun, and 95 in my Dodge Cummins diesel, rock solid.
  14. Congratulations Gregg! A much better choice than the FJ, besides, if the islands are anything like the mainland, most FJ owners go through 3 or 4 windshields with that design, rocks love that flat windshield. Enjoy!
  15. Fantastic, the majority has spoken, I'm normal!
  16. WOW, I am amazed. Did you get the inspiration from the real car that was in Modified Luxury and Exotics magazine? How long did it take you to do the marking? Great job!
  17. Fantastic job! The great things about Lamborghini's, is that people/owners are not afraid to experiment with bright colors. You have nailed it with the color and wheels. I have seen factory paint jobs, green, orange pearl, yellow pearl, that are outstanding and very eye-catching. Ferrari is still too conservative. I was the parts manager at a Ferrari dealership in the mid-90's when the F355's came out. Ferrari actually made them in green metallic, silver, blue, 2 reds and black. They looked great in any color. Great job!
  18. Marc, I too am almost 50. Gosh, where has the time gone..... I too keep up with the trends, and your choice of rolling stock is perfect. They are not donk wheels, they more along the lines of pro-touring, wide and wider for traction, and great looks. I'm impressed!
  19. tuffone20/Marty, great job! The paint looks great, the colors are great, and I agree, the stone crushers would give it an updated look, the white wheels look more "period correct". I remember the guys in the 70's used to have the tail pipes exit before the rear tires. I sure wish the "companies" would bring back the old truck models! So many different ways to build them up. Keep the progress pictures coming!
  20. I have 3 categories covered, diesel truck, lowered sports car, and Harley. The one thing missing is a boat! 2005 Harley Davidson Road King Custom FLHRSI, 2002 Volkswagen GTI, 2.8 VR6, 6 spd, Eibach springs, MOMO 18" wheels, K&N, Borla cat-back exhaust, 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 24 valve Cummins, 37" Pro-Comp Xtreme All Terrains, front leveling kit, FASS 150 gph pump, 4" straight exhaust.
  21. Looking great, keep going and posting pictures of your progress!
  22. I bought some Evergreen rectangular rod stock to scratchbuild chassis for pro-touring and pro-street cars and trucks, a new extra-fine saw blade, and liquid glue. They were out of Ambroid, my choice of glue, so I got Tenax 7R instead. I would have bought more supplies that are needed, but I have been unemployed for over 7 months now
  23. Dave, I read with great interest, your incredibly informative post on painting. And then, I saw your examples. WOW. I am so impressed. I am getting together a list of supplies, and then I'll dive in. I truly wish that other experinced modelers would take the time that you have, to address other areas of model-building tips/skills. I have been building off and on for years, and I'm getting better in some areas, and still struggling in others. Thank you for sharing, I am truly impressed and motivated! Rod
  24. Great job on the puller. I have a Dodge diesel truck, and a soft spot for pullers. Great project. I need to find some puller tires/wheels somewhere. I have a number of truck kits that would make great pullers, I just haven't found any tires yet, so I may turn them into mudders. I too, have to work on some quicker builds in between some of my more difficult/demanding builds. Great job!
  25. Fantastic job on the trucks!!!!! I love the colors, stances, and different mods I have numerous works-in-progress from trucks laying frame, to pro-street, to monster trucks, none of which are stock! I'll have to post some pictures. Keep up the great work!
