Thanks for the lead! I'm not sure if Dave would sell pieces from his kits individually either, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Guess I'll shoot him an email.
VERY nice!
The Diamond Reo is actually the best fitting of the AMT kits- the Road Boss is another story, though that one isn't quite the nightmare others make it out to be. I don't blame you for substituting the mirrors- that's one really sore spot with pretty much all the old AMT truck kits.
This is a "grail" list- not necessarily a list of kits you'd like to see reissued.
You can still want a particular kit even if there's no chance of it ever coming back.
Stumbled across this while looking for some reference pics, and thought it was too cool not to share.

Any of the Ertl IH kits that haven't been reissued are pretty high up on my "grail" list- including the 1466 farm tractor and the Off-Road and SSII versions of the Scout II kit. The F-2674 and Eagle 4300 Race Truck top the list of those.
The original issue AMT GMC Astro 95 with the optional turbine engine.
MPC Mack Rex Mixer
Ertl Volvo N10
The early '60's Premiere Studebaker Champ and Corvair Rampside kits are right up there, too, but I'm not holding my breath until I find one, much less both.
I wouldn't mind having a few from the AMT 1:43 scale "TNT" series, either.
As far as the kits go, the hoods, frame rails, fuel tanks, battery boxes, and interiors are different. The Reo has cast spoke wheels on all axles, the White has Alcoas on the front.
If it were mine I'd pair it up with an International Paystar 5000 or a Diamond Reo with a set back axle conversion. Or maybe I'd go with a Ford Aeromax 106 converted to a day cab. But I can't shoot down any of the ideas others have already suggested.
If you're reading this now you've missed it, but I just saw a re-run of "Call of the Wild Man" on Animal Plan it- in it, the "Turtle Man" removes a colony of rats from an abandoned Crosley wagon.
