  1. And may the Schwartz be with you.
  2. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the proper shade of blue for one of these beasties?
  3. I think its a pretty cool car, and really makes sense if you're one of those people who's staring down a very long work commute. It'll never replace the one three-wheeler I really want (the Morgan), but at about 1/6 the price I'm guessing if I ever go that route the Elio would be the one to likely end up in my driveway.
  4. The Big Lebowski Super Troopers The Kentucky Fried Movie Robocop (1987 original- still haven't seen the recent remake and I'm not sure if I want to.) Maximum Overdrive The Toxic Avenger Winnebago Man The Terminator Inglorious Basterds Airplane!
  5. I've sprayed on days when it's too humid, and the paint always ends up like that. Doesn't matter what the temperature is or if it's sunny- it can still be humid, especially if it has rained recently or rain is in the forecast a couple days in the future. Like I said... I'm not 100% sure if humidity is the culprit here, but I'm leaning toward excessive humidity being the problem judging by how the paint came out.
  6. Still looks like humidity is what's causing the problem. I don't know if polishing would help, but I'd imagine if it did it wouldn't be much of an improvement.
  7. I don't think Titans have stake pockets, but I think the look is promising. I say go for it.
  8. That might be the problem- humidity will cause the paint to "blush" like what's happening in the pics. The paint will dry dull and several shades too light.
  9. Comic. Sans.
  10. Fuel tanks are finished, and installed (at least temporarily for now). Battery boxes and air tanks will be added aft of the fuel tanks, once I get the exhaust routing figured out. I dropped the passenger's side tank after the last application of primer. I found the step that snapped off, but decided not to put it on. Because of the way the cab mounts are positioned on the chassis, this side won't quite fit square, but I liked how it looked so I decided to keep the "bent" looking tank. I might lower it a bit, though, so the cap will come off! (In theory, of course.)

  12. That bumper came with the old Revell 1:25 Peterbilt 359 kits. I think it's still left over on the sprues in different versions.
  13. I'm with you on that, though I think it wouldn't look too bad on a silver or white truck. In some ways it has the same effect to me as the big, shiny "horseshoe" grille on later-model Volkswagens- it sticks out like a sore thumb on a dark colored car, but it looks okay (or at least less distracting) on lighter colored cars. It blends in better. This isn't quite the same situation, but that's what keeps coming to mid for me.
  14. Have you ever been to a party, and there's a guy there who's really drunk and making a total ass of himself? You think it's amusing at first, but the more it goes on, the more it seems pathetic and you start feeling bad for the guy because the situation is so sad? That's kind of the way I see GM.
  15. Zeppelin- Ramble On
  16. AITM has a really nice Tulsa 50 ton winch, might be the way to go if I've got enough room between the cab and fifth wheel. http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/kt7tulsa50tonwinch.html
  17. I think it's a bargain even for a hundred bucks... think about it, you bring that to the next show and there won't be twelve other models just like it on the tables.
  18. I think they came from an MPC Chevy Cavalier. They're chrome, not clear. If I had to do it again (and I might) I'd go with some clear lenses and reflectors, but at the time they were all I had to use.
  19. ^Awesome.
