  1. Wholeheartedly. Kenny's stuff is very nicely done, and the prices are pretty good too.
  2. You should be able to do that fairly easily. All three were based on the same basic tooling.
  3. Goodguys '48 Convert can be built stock, as for the '40 Ford only the original Monogram-brand issue and the Pro-Modeler can be built stock, the Goodguys reissue of that has only the hot rod parts.
  4. I've noticed the plastic coming off in layers on a few kits- worst one for me was the Lindberg Dodge L-700 reissue from a few years back, but I've had it happen on EVERY manufacturer's kit at one time or another.
  5. Hey- I've used your decals on everything except the kits they came with, so I guess it's cool.
  6. http://members.fotki.com/cnaind/about/ Ordering/pricing/contact info and photos are all there.
  7. Bored by the subject matter? Or bored by the kit itself. If the subject matter bores me, I never let that stop me having fun with the kit. Not a fan of '57 Chevys or Novas, but I still had a blast on both of these things.
  8. I'd say it pegs a solid 11 wows, but that's just me.
  9. What he said.
  10. Dave- pretty nice! The Mundy livery looks great on it. (BTW- are you the same Dave Van who does decals for Model King?) Niko- to be honest, the interior photos on the box art are what I kept going back to for reference, even though I have page after page of internet images of Hornet interiors saved on my hard drive! The buildup photos in the last issue of MCM (Bill, Len, and Sean's models) I also found very helpful.
  11. Those don't explode, though. They just sort of cease to work after a while.
  12. Molds... probably should have said masters. Yeah- no wonder it isn't being cast, the molds would be shot by now, no matter who got them.
  13. What aboot visible mold seams or flash on the chrome parts? I don't see any in the pic, but I don't have the model right here in front of me to examine. I have seen both on high-end diecasts from the mid '90's, though I'm sure quality has improved by leaps and bounds since then.
  14. Chrome looks a LOT better than the last reissue. The Starliner roof swap is pretty straightforward. I did it- so that means pretty much anyone should be able to do it!
  15. I think the '53's were 1:20 scale, too. I've only ever seen one in the flesh.
  16. I'd be up for that. I mean- Revell kitted a Trabant, of all things. When that kit was found to be, well, less than satisfactory, they tooled up a new, immensely better version.
  17. I'd go with another rear axle (purely for aesthetics). I've seen guys put a plexi window in the step-up in the floor so the suspension and rear axle are visible through the bed, that might be something cool to try on this.
  18. I see. That might have been what threw me. I do remember the Olds frame, but I guess I was under the impression only Chevy used the X-frame in the early '60's.
  19. Hacking has commenced on the 'Hudon Ute'...
  20. Yeah... top is a '52, bottom is a '53. Two cars in one scene! NEVER noticed that!
  21. Really? Didn't the long-wheelbase Buicks (like the Electra 225) use the perimeter frame? Or am I just having one of my off days again?
  22. Nov. It's got a Ferrari and a bunch of Pontiacs on the cover.
  23. I just picked up 163 today- shop got them in late last week.
  24. Assuming Jimmy has the molds, I propose this.... On an appointed day, at an appointed time, everyone on the count of 'three' send an e-mail to Mr. Couillard requesting he make this kit available once agian? If everyone who's read this thread did that, it wouldn't guarantee he'd reissue it, but at the very least it might get him thinking about it.
  25. I don't know, Mike... all the hypothetical 'no' votes on the green make me like it even more!
