  1. Hey... why can't we get a New Karman Ghia?
  2. Always great to see Winston's work on display.
  3. Coming along sweeetlyyyy!!!! Off topic- '777' is one of my favorite Danzig tunes.
  4. The '92 kit may be molded better, but the '05 version would work if the price is that much better. I'd go with the '05 issue.
  5. So, what you're saying is VW needs to quit reaching into the past for styling cues, and instead develop a ground-breaking new car that will be worthy of inspiring 'retro' cars 50 years from now? Sounds like a good idea to me! Sadly, though, I think the golden age of automotive styling ended a long, long time ago.
  6. I got the SSP Revell '59 Ford Retractable, and sorry sports fans, it's 'stock only' this time except for some cheesy '80's style decal graphics. Still won't stop me from having a little fun with it, though.
  7. Very cool buildup, and I just might learn a bit about working with diecast models. Sounds like a winner to me!
  8. I was thinking more of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, at least from that rear 3/4 shot. I'll have to let it soak in before I know if I like it or not... (I mean the New New Beetle, I like TMNT. )
  9. Now, LET'S RUN THIS PUPPY RIGHT INTO THE GROUND!!!!!!!!
  10. SOMEBODY... (cough, cough) needs to sell a Loadstar 1600 front end like Tom used on his bus. Who wouldn't love to have one of those?
  11. A hopped up big body Ford... what's not to love? Great job!
  12. I was thinking more of a swollen Audi TT, at least from that rear 3/4 shot. I'll have to let it soak in before I know if I like it or not... (I mean the New New Beetle, I like the TT. )
  13. All she needs now is a three bottom plow! Very cool, sir!
  14. Very cool! A neighbor had one of the US-Market versions, that one was a junker! If it had looked more like your model, I'd have dug it.
  15. Great job! Certainly could be restored. Looks like most of the rust would buff right out!
  16. What are you not going to get finished this year? Here are a few of mine with no hope... Oh, sure, I've got more, but these are the ones I'm pretty sure I won't be touching anytime soon!
  17. I rather like the 'no sponsors' look- maybe some lone wolf could have run something similar back in the day. Most of these had wild colors and graphics- its actually kind of nice to see one in a kind of 'as delivered' form.
  18. I think you just wrote my new signature line!
  19. Not sure- Revell '55 Chevy hardtop, I think.
  20. Wasn't Vespa the princess in Spaceballs?
  21. Why? You could just put a rock on the gas and let it go by itself. Same end result... except you don't die at the end! Sounds like a win-win proposition to me.
  22. Make it like the old Trans-Am series- Ford has the Mustang, Chrysler-Fiat-Whathaveyou has the Dodge Challenger, Gov't Motors has the Chevy Camaro... all three of those cars competed against one another in that series, why can't it happen again today? You know what? I'd even let Hyundai's Genesis Coupe and Nissan 370Z in on the act if their manufacturers thought they had the stones to win. THAT would be compelling racing!
  23. Take a cheap-o beater from the classifieds, paint it with Rustoleum and a roller, and use all the money you didn't spend on buying a 'desirable' car for some wheels and an air suspension and slum it up in style! Just a quick, simple 'boredom killer' curbside build- I bought this kit yesterday after work, and had it done before midnight.
