  1. Sorry, couldn't find one pulling a plow, but a few more Doodle Bugs...
  2. Thanks, guys! I just might scratchbuild a pair after all- not too sure about paying collector prices for a kit just to nab the headlamps!
  3. Obviously... this isn't a rat rod! It's a Doodle Bug. Any farm kid knows what a Doodle Bug is!
  4. How horrible is the traffic in Warren? Any construction or detours? If it doesn't sound like too much of a headache logistically, I might come and check it out.
  5. :blink:153 is out ALREADY!? I don't think it's even been three weeks since I got 152... Gregg said he wanted to go monthly... I didn't know he was in the early stages of going weekly!
  6. It's been said, but steer clear of the older AMT snap kits. They weren't the greatest fitting kits ever popped, and they're loaded with little hiccups and snafus that, when added up, would be pretty frustrating to a newbie. I'd say go with any of the newer Revell snap kits.
  7. I've been wanting to add some Woodlite headlights to a model. They're those weird accessory headlamps used on '30's luxury cars. Are there any kits which have some, or any resin/white metal alternatives? Yeah, I could scratchbuild a pair, but I'd really rather not do that if I can just push the 'easy button'! Here's what I'm talking about- this is a handmade replica, but the real ones basically looked like this-
  8. What's my old pal from high school Rick have to do with any of this?
  9. I was aware of this kit... but I've never seen the drop-top variant! You learn something new every day! Now, maybe Lindberg will finally come out with a drop-top version of their '67... what a great way to show off that shallow interior tub!
  10. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned how Ford was allowed to use the 427 wedge for a few years after it was discontinued in the passenger cars. A glimpse of the future, I suppose.
  11. I'd love to have that six wheel version! Yeah, I know it's kind of tacky, but I like it.
  12. Not quite. The T-Bird and Cougar went to an IRS setup for '89, while the Mark still had the old 8.8 up until 1992. The Monogram '87 Turbo Coupe would be a lot closer, but it's 1:24, and would need a LOT of hacking to fit the Mark VII body. Believe me- I've tried it! The later Revel T-Bird and Cougar kits might fit better, if you could look past the rear suspension.
  13. And, it's gotten me started on a '37 Ford pickup of my own.
  14. Well, a few thousand of your closest pals know all about it now! But, hey, if it works, it works.
  15. yeah- not too sure about that one, myself. I can build ten models in a month, and I'm sure no master builder!
  16. Oh, the one on Cinemax last night, about 3 AM-ish!
  17. Give these guys a try- http://carneyplastics.com/
  18. Give me a minute to take down all my Easyriders posters and maybe I'll play along!
  19. Yes- complete with detailed carb linkages and in-scale, working window mechanisms!
  20. Sounds cool... model cars, AND Stacey David!
  21. Sheesh, this junky old box of mine would be at least $200, if this is any indicator...
  22. What he said.
  23. Same here! That's the one thing preventing me from butchering a Winston Cup kit chassis to fit this body. (Not to mention the engine updates...) This one would make a pretty good curbside model, but I think my next stock car buildup will be the old AMC Matador. Not big into the NASCAR models, but this little snap kit has lit a fire under my fanny nevertheless!
