  1. I posted some pictures of the unbuilt kit a while ago here- http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/?showtopic=68216
  2. Yeah- I was messing around with the Hertz version, test-fitting a few parts, and had a heck of a time getting them back apart! Really good parts fit.
  3. I just love it! I've got one in the stash that may end up built as a beater.
  4. I love it! I always hated the way those wheels looked all chrome, but the paint detailing you did improves them 100%. Might have to give that a try.
  5. I had the US Monogram boxing (same kit) some years ago. I remember dealing with some warped parts- that was, in fact, the main reason it never got finished. I just didn't know what I was doing when it came to dealing with warped parts back then. The plumbing in the engine bay was also a little nightmarish but I managed to pull it off. One of these days I need to find it and take it apart so I can do it justice.
  6. For some reason I always thought this kit came with a convertible boot. Unless it's there in Tim's pics and it's just hiding from me.
  7. Very cool. I'm working on one of these kits right now.
  8. That's how the local hobby shop takes care of the oversized "art" boxes.
  9. If Revell AG does a new-tool BMW kit, they'd better do a full-detail 2002 first. THEN this one.
  10. What do you call a 4' tall psychic who's escaped from prison? A small medium at large.
  11. Actual documentaries are the only "reality" shows. But those are boring and nobody wants to watch them. So, you take a real situation, coach the cast a little, and edit for drama to make it "edgy" and "captivating" or whatever watchword TV execs use to make it exciting.
  12. I dunno.... "Amish Mafia" has GOT to be scripted.
  13. ^That's from late last year, I do know he's added some parts for the Moebius LoneStar recently.
  14. Well- Jewel, the well-known singer, is from the same family. One of those guys with the weird first name on the show is her father. But if they've got that kind of money and still live even 10% of the way they appear to on TV, props to them.
  15. And 4. And there's a 5th one coming out this year.
  16. Who says you can't do anything different with a '32 Ford? Very nicely done.
  17. Build two... keep one, and give him the other. Love the way this is coming together.
  18. Very nice!
  19. Thanks guys- eventually this will be lined up with a bunch of other junkers next to a rundown old gas station.
  20. Thanks guys! The main piece is half-round strip- full piece for the back, and two shorter pieces on the other side so there's a notch for the plate. The bars running down to the hitch are .020" styrene cut to shape.
  21. Cool! I just finished doing the exact opposite with a Maisto 2010 F-150 STX, converting it to a base-model XL rather than making it fancier. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
  22. If anyone here who isn't on Facebook but is interested in getting one, PM me and I can give you Joe's e-mail.
