  1. Revell SSV reissue, though I used F-150 wheels, Goodyear Tracker tires, and left out the majority of the police equipment for the interior. The blue lens in the light bar was replaced by a red one nabbed from a second Expedition kit. Though I started working on this one quite a bit after the police version I'm about to post, I finished this first, albeit only by a couple of hours.
  2. I was disappointed at first... I thought this was a post (in the wrong section) about my favorite TV show. Then I remembered you were building this Sunny, and felt better. Great job on it! I can see Mack driving it while he speaks with his terrible Mel Gibson accent.
  3. They outdid themselves on the bed- cut some stake pocket holes in the rails and it would be perfect. And yes, the inner structure for the stake pockets IS present, and very well done... I didn't detail the chassis much, but here it is. I had originally planned to weather it a bit more, and add some overspray to the floor (as well as paint the bottom of the bed yellow), but as you see, I never got around to that... And yes, the spare (vinyl tire and plastic wheel) and carrier are separate. I had originally planned this model to represent a truck that was about five years old and starting to show its age, but switched gears when I saw a nice, restored Chrome Yellow/Pure White '72 F-100 for sale.
  4. My second one will have a solid front axle swap (from a Monogram K10), and has had the goofy molded spare tire removed as well. Might go with the BFG Krawlers from Fireball Modelworks. I also cut away those butt-ugly stock fender flares.
  5. Nice! These do look good in orange.
  6. You do know that anything David Spade says in an interview is rarely (if ever) meant to be taken seriously, right?
  7. Yep... some people think the world needs to come to a screeching halt because they had to wait four weeks for their widget to show up, even being aware of the situation. And you just know if those same people were in Paul's shoes they'd be asking for all kinds of leeway.
  8. '75 El Camino.... ick. I used to have one.
  9. I'm just gonna leave this here...
  10. There's a resin one in the works, but if you don't want to wait, this should point you in the right direction- http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Repstock/library/Ford%20pickup%20standard%20wheelbase%20bed?sort=6&page=1
  11. Nice... but I'd hate to try parallel parking it.
  12. Bed is mounted. I went with the "wraparound" style back-up light lenses, to date the bed to '87-91.
  13. Probably. Keep in mind,though- this kit actually dates to 1959, long before anybody gave a rip about scale accuracy.
  14. Single only- the five-spoke mags appear to be the only non-stock option.
  15. Engine's pretty well sorted out- it's a 351M cobbled up from various pieces from the old spare parts grab bag.
  16. Over the course of this very snowy afternoon, the truck has sprouted a certain appendage...
  17. Not the best pic, but hope this'll work... Rear window gasket is molded to the body- the glass only has a gluing flange.
  18. Keep your pants on just a little bit longer, guys... it's almost here. This is the last (or next to last?) test shot- according to Dave Metzner, what you see here is what the production kit will be... corrected hood, roof, rear axle, and all. The printed Goodyear tires in a few of the pictures are from AMT- they fit the Moebius wheels pretty well. I also wired the engine and replaced the last 3/8" or so of the kit tailpipe with tubing, but that's it. Paint is Chrome Yellow/Pure White in Ford's "Combination" two-tone. Combination was where the lower bodysides and roof were painted accent color. The "Regular" two tone had only the roof painted the accent color, and the Deluxe two-tone had onlly the lower bodysides painted accent color. In the next pic, it will look like the wing vent post is too short- there's a gap between the top of it and the window opening. That's not a kit flaw- I broke off the end of the post while cleaning some flash. So... my fault, not the kit's. The next pic also shows the kit-supplied tires and wheel covers. The tires have no sidewall lettering, but there is a scuff band, which you can paint white for a narrow whitewall look, iff'n that's the way you swing. As far as the way it goes together? All I'm going to say is "you're in for a treat". From where I sit, the delays and time spent perfecting the kit was time well spent. And here's a little update... The test shot had no decals- they were still in development when I built the test shot. So when I got a pre-production kit (which does have decals) I had to see how they'd look! Decals are typical Moebius quality- well printed, won't fight you much, and lay down well. Next time, I think I'd sand off the "Ford" lettering from the tailgate before using the woodgrain decal. I'll also have to remember to paint the back window gasket.
  19. Nice! I've got a 9N (all gray) out in the shed... mine looks a little more complete than the one you've got.
  20. You're exactly right Bill- but you just know somebody is going to try massaging one of the Fergies into a Ford. Regarding the hitch- even that differed on the later Fords- Ford changed it just enough in an attempt that it wouldn't violate Ferguson's patent, after he and Henry's famous falling-out.
  21. Food for thought, if you're messing with the idea of somehow converting the Ferguson to an N-Series Ford. And yes, swaps like these are more common than you might think...
  22. Maybe I'll get some new pics... now that Heller is bringing out a 1:24 Ferguson tractor I might have to build one and park it on the back of this, seeing as how he also owns a Ferguson 35.
  23. Yeah... I had to come back just to convince myself the Ferguson wasn't some kind of hallucination. At least one is going to end up as a "project" tractor being hauled home on the back of a Ford C-600.
