I've always felt that motor in the Revell kits was such a let down. Yours is a GREAT improvement. Not wanting to kill a complete kit for just a few engine parts, I need to find the files or the engine in as 3D print. -

Looks the part of 1972, a great era of custom bikes. Very nice build. -

That's so sweet. The upgrade on the forks is a huge improvement over the square forks. This is one of those kits that has so much potential in the parts. Every time I see this motor I keep on wishing that Revell would had done so well with their last motorcycle series. -
I love the graphics. I know most are decals, but it looks like you did an amazing job with them. What really sits this build apart is the stance. Most PS Vegas and Pintos I see sit way to high. This one looks right.

I'm dealing with a company that flooded my basement......oh joy. I'm looking to replace several of my MCM back issues. Model RoundUp has many (currently MCM isn't selling back copies). Can anyone tell me what the number of this issue is?

The Cougar's hood, sail panels and trunk are noteworthy. Very nice. Are those the Round2 reissue decals?

I recently lost almost a complete run of Car Model magazine due to the poor actions of a contractor. I do want to get replacements. I want to think there was a CD of the CM available. Anyone know a source?

’72 Dodge Demon Drag Racer 1/25 scale

If this had been done in CNC, I would be impressed. Knowing it was done manually I'm gobsmacked. The one thing that stands out to me are the freeze plugs. How did you machine the external round shape? Truly fantastic workmanship. -
I wonder if this would be a good choice to cut plastic rods to the same dimensions for chassis. It would be great if it could do brass but I don't see that being realistic.

This one has me watching. This is inspiring me to get comfortable using my metal working tools.

I'm hoping for the '32 Ford. I'd get three or four. Good donor kit.

I remember as a child, my Father and I (okay, it was Dad) built MPC cars that had spy gear as a bonus. If I remember correctly there was a GTO with a submachine gun to mount under the front bumpers and a Bonneville with large blades to cut tires. Anyone know what the exact year it was? I know it was the mid 60's like 1967 or so. Can anyone help me identify a year?

Question about sales at shows after stock market downturn.
iBorg replied to iBorg's topic in Contests and Shows
I had decided I needed a break and the show would be good for that. Unfortunately, family responsibilities have raised their very ugly heads and I can't make the trip. Darn it! -
Need a bit of advice. I'm scheduled to do an IPMS show outside of DC this weekend. Do you think that what's happening to the economy will kill sales? I have an assortment of common, less common and fairly rare kits such as Jo-Han and late 1960's kits. I have nothing to show.....my hobby area got flooded so everything is stashed in a box or in a storage pod. We will travel to the show (about six hours) only to go to an Irish pub on Friday night and do the show on Saturday. If it wasn't for dealing with insurance companies and contractors I'd be anxious to go but this combined with the market tanking, I'm just not sure what to do. Thanks!

My favorite scoop is from the Revell Funny car/dragster series. The main problem is most have a nasty seam where the top and the bottom are joined. A resin or 3D unit might be the way to go.

This is really a great build. It's great inspiration. I hope the 3D parts you've created become available after you finish this materpiece.

I'd go with the AMT Ivo dragster if you want that body, short wheelbase car, the Tommy Ivo double kit, late FE, MPC Garlits or one of its decal brother cars. I wouldn't go with either the Snake/Mongoose reissue or the Ramchagers.
