GM never Built it so I did, Used a resin body that I got in trade a while ago from our very own Z Man.....Decided it needed some purpose, so why would anyone want a 2 door big block wagon? To tow a camper of course, how else are you supposed to look cool when you rolled up to the NHRA sanctioned event of your choice? Scratchbuilt the trailer, it works out closer to 24th scale, but oh well, mistakes happen. Assembled the wagon as a lower trim model, but I included the 375HP 396, a 4spd Muncie, and of course some SS badging, if your going to build something that never existed you might as well trim it out as you would have it. Built this combo for a Group build that a friend and myself have put on for now 2 years (this is our second year, last year's theme was '69 Camaro's), we have a group display at IPMS' Heritagecon in Hamilton at the Warplane Heritage museum.

Called the city a few times now, pretty sure She's the one that called the city on me when I got my Ticket on my truck for "Commercial vehicle in Residential area for extended period", I fought the $35 ticket for parking in front of my house for 2 hours while I went and picked up another vehicle, I fought and won because my truck has "Used Primarily For personal transportation" MTO sticker on my plate. Nick Trying to back a LWB pickup with a 22 foot car trailer on the back of it from a narrow street into a narrow driveway with her BMW in the way was enough of a frustration, I'm sorry I'm not up to her high standards the snob, I've lived in this neighborhood for 18 years, you've lived here for 3, your the only one with a problem with me and my household................take that as a hint.......

My Jerk neighbor that insists on parking her BMW in front of her house on the street for days at a time when she knows its going to snow, so everytime I shovel mine and my elderly neighbors driveway, the plow comes along, has to tip the blade and puts 3 ft of hard packed snow at the end of our driveways, just our 2 adjoining driveways that I shovel...................Township has signs clearly posted up and down all the streets about Winter parking regs. "No parking on City Streets, November-April, 5PM-9AM" Unfriggin believable Nick

Nick Winter replied to Jantrix's topic in Community Builds
Thats a 24th scale engine too, my attempt to fill it up some. Nick -
I've finally had the time and desire to do some building and updating here, Entry list is up to date, and once I finish two 3/4's finished builds I'll probably make a start on my secret (not really once I take some pictures) Brock Yates tribute entry. Nick

Resto of a cheap built up I got in a collection I bought in October 2012, started working on this one December 2012, and here we are the End of February 2014 with it finished. I wanted a factory show car kinda look, so some mild customization. Nick

Has anyone bought Girl Scout Cookies lately..?
Nick Winter replied to Ramfins59's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Up here I pay $5 a box, but I know for the most part it's going towards the scout's, therefore It doesn't bother me one bit. -
The fact that Revell's 24th scale '69-'70 Mustangs are completey different in scale and proportion Well there goes that idea...........
-
Yep Chris is right, Modelhaus had the '69-'70 hoods last time I needed one, probably I would assume still do. Nick

The guy wasn't a slot builder, he was a model car builder, I've seen his work at shows, he thought I would roll over........nope. I sold a few Complete unpainted bodies for $1, I stole the drive trains and wanted a slot guy to use the bodies rather than pitch them.............. For people who's income situations I know, I don't mind, but when you have $50 worth of kits under your arm and your lowballing me, no thanks sorry. I've given kits away before to people who deserved them.

Again it was a sealed relatively new reissue of a nice kit, that I had Bought for $24.99 + 13% tax and I had $20 on it............and for a nice person I would have taken $15............ And the guy had an arm full of Mopar muscle kits all open and priced about the same as my sealed kit...............
-
Chuck everything you just said is the truth! And couldn't have been put better. Nick
-
Sealed 2012 Reissue of the '70 Road Runner I paid $24.99 + tax at the hobby shop, So no, I wouldn't sell it for $3, I would have taken $20 maybe even $15 if I really liked the person or they were very nice and polite.

One side of the family you mean Joe. irked me yesterday, guy offering me $3 for a sealed kit at the show I was vending at.................really $3, your lucky to buy a builtup for that these days. Nick

Mid '70s Chevy rescue van Round 2
Nick Winter replied to LongRoofNut's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I've had mine for about two weeks now, there are a few parts omitted vs the original Rescue van, No window inserts as mentioned, no Police parts (Ie big bumper ETC). However, decal sheet is a beautiful and so are the new tires.
