Sweeeet! So glad I found out about HD Theatre! We've always had a high-def plasma tv and receiver, but some reason we weren't getting the channels! So last week we made a call to our service provider, and today they updated the system free! So now, we get all the high-def channels including HD Theatre! So whomever was the genius that mentioned about the WRC being on HD Theatre, thank you very much for posting! Can't wait for tonight at 8:00PM Colorado time. I Tivo'd the entire series! I'm so very excited!

Is this the worst parking job ever?
FujimiLover replied to B_rad88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One of the craziest I've seen wasn't really parking, but it was backing up. When Dad and I were dropping stuff off at our local "ARC" place, a lady was backing up. She went to far and smashed her rear windshield into the front of a big 18-wheeler's trailer. She didn't stop to check it out, instead she drove forward and left laughing as she was heading out! Guess she didn't care about her car or anything, pretty weird. -

Thank you, I've passed on the information. He still can't get half the clear's that were recommended. -
I wonder if other A-Team members are available in figure form?

Absolutely beautiful! That first picture could've been in ROM it's so perfect! I love it!

Nice work there. It's tough painting figurines, particularly the facial details! I do hope there's a black/red Van in the future for him!

How to wash a toilet 1. Put both lids of the toilet up. Then add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl. 2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom. 3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close the lid. You may need to stand on the lid. 4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this. 5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a 'power-wash' and rinse'. 6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door. 7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid. 8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, And run outside where he will dry himself off... 9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean. Sincerely, The Dog

General vs' Off-Topic
FujimiLover replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
General should be cleaned up of all non-hobby related topics. Stricter rules should be listed, applied, and followed. Off-topic should not be allowed. It works in some forums I belong too, but apparently it does not here. Please lock thread and delete after 24 hours. Thank you...................... -
General vs' Off-Topic
FujimiLover replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Another good point. Nova, "General" should be the place your talking about for model related subjects that you want to know about. But sadly it seems that "General" is an off-topic hang-out. -

General vs' Off-Topic
FujimiLover replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If there are no off-topic sections of this forum, there should THEN be stricter rules in the general area to help keep it clean and model-car/truck hobby related. -
General vs' Off-Topic

Here's how I see it, Think of an "off-topic" section as a lounge to hang out while our paint's and glue's dry! -
General vs' Off-Topic

Should "off-topic" have it's own categories? Or anything goes under one section? -
My Art Deco Aero Coupe Updated Jan 3, 2010
FujimiLover replied to Peter Lombardo's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I agree with Harry 100%! When you can make your very own body from scratch, that is truly scratch-building masterpiece! Reminds me of those old classic cartoon cars, long, and sleek! Very awesome with the opening doors and all. I'm amazed at how a sheet of plastic can turn into a masterpiece! Thumbs up! -
General vs' Off-Topic
FujimiLover replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think anything that is 1:1 scale can stay right where it is. Cars, Trucks, etc'. -
Hello there. I've been reading a couple of threads here and there and I'm getting a little annoyed. I found some funny, some entertaining, and some out right, dare I say childish? As Harry said in a previous "off-topic" thread, you guy's seem to be going back and forth on wanting off-topic, or not. Here's what I think. We have a category called "General". General should be for anything related to THIS HOBBY and nothing else. I know, I'm guilty of starting threads that don't relate but at this point we don't have anywhere else to post such subjects. General should only be related to building model cars and trucks. Since this is mostly a MODEL CAR ONLINE FORUM, it should be strictly car-truck related. General can be things like tutorials, photo galleries, how-to's, references, link's related to the hobby, magazines related to the hobby, anything related to THIS HOBBY. I think we need an OFF-TOPIC thread for anything that does NOT FIT in GENERAL category. This way, nobody can complain, bicker, argue, make-fun of or whatever anything that is not model-car related as it's "off-topic". As I said, even I'm guilty of posting threads under general such as Jokes, playlists, name that tune, name that movie, computer issues, ebay issues, whatever! If I was a moderator, which I'm not, I'd start an off-topic category and move EVERYTHING not model car-truck related into that category. If you do not like somebody's posted topic, don't be rude about it, just be quiet about it. Why reply to a topic you think is stupid? We've all heard the phrase, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". I think any model's that are built that are NOT car-truck related should be posted under an "off-topic models" category so that people who are interested in posting model airplanes, boats, bikes, whatever can have a place to post them. That way, we don't really leave anybody out, but we can keep the car-truck basis of our forum clean and orderly. The "General" section of this forum is getting way out of hand and it needs to be cleaned up. So, should we have another vote about having an "Off-Topic" category so we can discuss anything under the sun? I love this forum and I love all you guy's, but we need to put this forum back to it's basic routes if you know what I mean. Replies are welcome, but keep it civilized!

More updates and a revision. I spread out the distance between the exhaust pipes more like my real one and gave the rear bumper a "slot". Also started slot and fog-lamp areas for the front bumper. This is all done with eye-balling so it probably isn't perfectly symmetrical yet! I'm finding out just how tough this Milliput stuff really is! Which for this application is a good thing! Yea, it looks ugly. But then again, aren't all projects?
-
Some progress! Duel exhaust tips! The tips will be recessed in further and will be glued in when model is complete.
