Real or Model #112 FINISHED!
FujimiLover replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
To freaking weird to be anything but real. Look's like some evil Decepticon about ready to transform and do battle! LOL! Reminds me of the 3-wheeled vehicle Trex for some reason. Has that same feel. I like these games, makes the weeks go fast! -
I'm not sure I follow you. But the reason it's sitting that way is cause the RM type motor mount is in the way. When I get the HM motor mount, it'll fit inside the body much better. And the width is perfect, so no need to widen anything.

There's a company in Florida that sells parts for making Knight Rider replica's. There are also several stages of replicas one can make. Anything from basic outside appearance, to interior mock-up's, to full-functioning dashboards and some even have speach-recognition and voice-synthesizers so you could nearly "talk" to your car. I've always dreamed of doing KARR. He's my number one favorite villain. Prefer KARR from season three however, KARR from first season was too much like a child and had a simple computer voice. KARR in season three was really bitch'n and his voice was much meaner sounding! I've also always imagined KITT's dashboard being made entirely out of carbon-fiber. Now how sweet would that look? That's how mine would've been like if I ever owned one.

Knight Rider- Knight 2000- also known as KITT
FujimiLover replied to Nick Winter's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks but I'd rather wait for the Aoshima version. It's of higher quality. They now have one that speaks, but unfortunately it's in Japanese of coarse. I have the Ertle KARR, but don't like it as much. No licensee plate! -
I don't think there were any body kit's for this car at all. This would've been my own design and would've been specially built if I had the funds for it. I think the Honda Civic's that came after this car were raced more often and those had body kit's for them. I don't think interior or partial interior would work on this, and that would add weight. I think I'll black out the windows and make ones for the drivers/passanger side as the model had those open.

Knight Rider- Knight 2000- also known as KITT
FujimiLover replied to Nick Winter's topic in WIP: Model Cars
All I got is the 1/18 scale Joy-Ride KARR, wish I gotten Aoshima's version when it was available, KITT and KARR in 1/43 scale from Aoshima, and KITT and KARR HotWheels from Japan. Would like to get both KITT and KARR in 1/18 scale Aoshima, and the Kyosho 1/28 scale Knight Rider AutoScale bodies. And of coarse mentioned kit's. Still need to get season four on DVD, or Itunes. -
37 views and 0 comments? Do I actually have to start building this to get a response? That's okay, no hard feelings. sniff, sniff. Anyway, was thinking of building this up as how I had hoped my real one would've been if I kept working on it. I've long dreamed of having a body kit made for the car to make it look more racy. I said RACY not RICEY! Same paint scheme, but with a nice mild body kit and some rally-style lights mounted up front. The real car did have a custom duel exhaust so I'll incorporate that into the rear valance when I make it. I plan on using very thin plastic as backing, and Milliput. I just hope my putty hasn't dried out since I opened it a few months back. I think I sealed it closed again! No biggy, I know where to get more.

Nice job on that kit. Those older ones were hard to do. Have you seen Aoshima's newest ones? They have real working scanner-lights up front, both for KITT and KARR. Plus, they just now came out with the fourth-season version of KITT with his Super Pursuit Mode! Looks really cool, I'm tempted to get all three of those to add to my Knight Rider collection. -

Motor mount off and pretending custom H-plate in place. And removed the front body clip as it's too long for this bod. This gives you a better look at how it will come together. Rear view. You can see why this'll need HM type. The rear wheels only look like their sticking out because of the way it's sitting on the RM motor mount. But trust me, it's a perfect width for this model!

Hello there. Back when I was 14 years old. My Dad bought for me my very first real car. A 1972 Honda Z Coupe. Back then, I was a pretty small lad and my Dad felt this car would've helped me feel big and helped me learn how to drive. It was a four speed with a strange reverse. I'm very glad I learned how to drive a stick! You can pretty much drive anything if you can drive a stick! First pic, is a picture of my real car back in the day's. We restored it, and gave it a custom "Domino's Pizza" racer look. No, nobody in the family worked for Domino's, just the paint scheme happened to look like theirs. Hey, it suited the car really well! We had the interior upholstered to match, and gave it duel exhaust. Yes, duel exhaust on a 2 cylinder car. LOL! The car was a lot of fun to drive around and I sometimes regret trading it in for the Insight. But at the same time, it was kind of scary driving this tiny little machine right next to those big freaking HUMMERS! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! Anyway, here's the real car: And here's the project: The goal is to paint up the body to match the real car, and mount it onto this RC chassis. I'll need to make a longer H-plate for mounting the motor further back, and I'll need an HM "High-Mount" type motor for the motor to fit inside the body better. I'll also need to figure out how to mount the body in the front, and sides. Planning on using the Porsche's chassis since it's width matches the Coupe's. Question for you pro's. Whats the best way to accomplish this paint scheme with the best professional results? Remember, I don't have an airbrush!

Article in Florida Newspaper

I dream of a big collection, but 12,000? Well..........I suppose if I had kept every one I ever owned since birth I might be close. But who does that? Oh wait, sounds like that guy! LOL! Wow, hope he keeps em in a dust-proof case. Imagine trying to dust-off/clean all those cars! -
What do you call a suicidal cow? A cow-makazee! LOL!

Got this today! A model of my very first car back when I was 14 years young! This is a 1/32 scale kit from ARII. 1970 "Mine was '72" Honda Z Coup Being it's a small car, I thought that it just might fit my 1/43 scale RC Dnanos! And from the look's of the following pictures, it just might with some clever mods! Murcielago chassis is just barely long enough to work: But track width too wide. Porsche chassis width is perfect, but too short: It look's like I'll need another Dnano chassis with a combination of parts and with an HM "high-mount" motor mount for it to fit inside the body. This look's like it'll be a fun project!

Frog Tape Anyone??
FujimiLover replied to gbdolfans's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've heard of duck-tape but FROG-TAPE? Ribbet, ribbet, ribbet, -
As I said before, times and dates mean nothing till event's happen.

I was going to quote a Star Trek TNG episode: "All Good Thing's Come To an End" I love that character "Q"!
-
Hmmmm, are we talking about the past or the future now? This topic has certainly gone way off subject, but fun nevertheless. I'd love to live to be 150 years old just to see how far we get without blowing ourselves up! 2012, Y2K, every century had it's predictions of end-times but we're still here! I think what scares us most these day's is our technology and the constant fighting overseas. However, I'm more concerned about terrorists groups than WWIII.
-
Well yea. When was the last time you've seen a square wheel?
-
Really? I thought it was black/white. I remember the computer had a really awesome sounding voice. Similar to the W.O.P.E.R, but deeper and more evil-sounding. The way I see it, Collosius, W.O.P.E.R, Skynet Am I missing one?
-
I'm still trying to find Collosal, The Forb's Project I think it is? It's a movie that can be said to pre-date WarGames and Terminator. Same theme, about a super computer that takes control over the world. It's an old black/white classic but still great flick.

If it's invisible, how do we know it doesn't already exist? LOL!

I thought Knowing was strange. How about Armageddon, Deep Impact, Independence Day, etc'?
