  1. Boy, I'm stumped on this one. Will have to give it a few day's.
  2. Thank you, either way they'd look good together.
  3. Perhaps after installation you should paint it then dull clear-coat it to prevent flaking off. Look's great, but what scale is the model?
  4. Hey guy's. Isn't there are more modern aerovette model kit out there? I think it's also MPC. It's pretty futuristic looking, hard-top, and common to find these day's. One of my local hobby shops has it and I've been tempted by it. Not much of a Corvette fan, but I do like futuristic concept cars. If I recall the picture on the box shows a silver colored future-Vette. That model look's like it would be a pain to restore, specially the interior. I'll be keeping my eye out on this one.
  5. HPI has introduced a 1/32 scale RC car that can accommodate most slot-car bodies. I don't know how adjustable the chassis is so choices maybe limited. But it's still worth to look at. They should be available soon. HPI as many of you may know is a high-quality RC products company. They have a RTR version, and a professional carbon-fiber racing version of the chassis. But again, not sure how adjustable the chassis is for various bodies. But just in case you want to get your slot-cars off the guided-track and have some fun, have a look!
  6. I just read somewhere about those light cameras. There was a guy who wore a monkey mask to cover his face in hopes to avoid getting ticketed as he sped past those cameras. If I'm not mistaking I think it was Chicago?
  7. Cars in general look ugly with the front plate. The front end was really never designed to have a license plate. I wish that we had the option of the European style plate as they look much better both front and rear. Why should they care how we modify our cars as long as safety isn't an issue? It's all about expressing our personality and what's wrong with that? That thing about repainting is ridiculous. Why should they care what color it is? Isn't that better than having rust spots all over it?
  8. I'm glad to see the car on that drag strip is pointing towards the wall and not the window! LOL! Anybody remember Tim Allen's Home Improvement show when he modified a slot-car with a Dust-Buster motor? That thing went so fast, it went off the track and through their windows! LOL! So I seriously hope your not going to race towards the window there buddy!
  9. Only thing I liked about those wiper lights were that they were chromed and made a nice accent. I didn't care for the lighted part. The police should take note on your license plate and know where your coming from before siting you a ticket for something that violates "their" law. Since these laws are state by state, why should I be penalized while visiting your location when it's perfectly legal where I'm from? Anyway, I've gotten rid of those plate covers a long time ago and my car is perfectly legal everywhere. Only aftermarket goodies I've got is a GPS and Momo gear knob. Other than that, Insight is pretty much stock.
  10. Two years ago I got a warning for having a tinted licensee plate cover on the front of my Insight. To this day I still don't see the need for a frontal plate. After all, aren't they chasing you from behind? LOL!
  11. Nice rug's. Can you do a tutorial on how you did that? Would be nice to know exactly what the material is, and the technique used to make this. Look's more realistic than that flocking material they have. Really nice wood work too! Wood is certainly hard to do right I think. At first I thought you used real scraps of wood to create that. As for me, nothing yet.................................
  12. Read this on AOL, thought it be interesting to share. http://autos.aol.com/gallery/street-modifi...cations-illegal
  13. Well, can't win all of them!
  14. Can you tell me what scale that blue 917 is in the back right corner of your picture? It look's to be same scale as the Mini-Z bodies. I'm wondering if it'll fit the Mini-Z RC chassis?
  15. Nice conversion so far! Keep it up!
  16. I don't know much about bikes, but something about that kick-stand say's model to me. So, I'm going with model on this one. Interesting, I thought this was Model "Cars" forum, not bikes? Nice choice!
  17. WOW! That was quick! My engine arrived today! A lot smaller than I expected so it should be inexpensive to ship to UK!
  18. A 2001-06 Honda Insight is different than the 2010 version. It's smaller, lighter weight, and more aerodynamic. The 2010 Insight is what I like to call a Toyota Prius copy-cat. I've never driven a 2010 model so I wouldn't know what it's MPG is like. But I too can send you pic's of my MPG readout if you'd like.
  19. The very second I see a model of the Insight, I'll do whatever it takes to grab it! With in legal limits of coarse. And without winding up on Jerry Springer!
  20. Sorry guy's. My Insight's got you beat on MPG. In the city I get anywhere from 46-55 MPG. Highway anywhere from 55-70 MPG depending on how I drive the car. Of coarse I tend to push it and "play" with the car so I get less than I could. It is a fun little car to drive. Not fast, not quick, but very aerodynamically slippery it just want's to go! It's very hard to keep this car at the speed limit!
  21. Nice find LDO, and your probably more correct than the others. But still, where the hell did they come with a Camero? Perhaps their talking about the newer Spy Hunter cars and not the old classic one? I was also thinking of that Mercedes as well, but couldn't think of the name of that car. I think LDO has the right answer but question is, what year did THAT car come out?
  22. Yea, I was right again! But I'd thought bigger than 1/18. See what you can come up with next week Harry!
  23. Perfection!
  24. Hey Pony, models are supposed to look real, thus the question, real or model? If a model didn't look real, than what's the point?
