What was your hardest build yet?
FujimiLover replied to vizio93's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think every model has one issue or another. So what was the hardest? Probably the KS Competition with it's complicated exaust system. It's hard getting all the seperate pipes to line up properly and glue together at the same time. However, when I get around to building my KS Countach, THAT will be the HARDEST one yet as it's so well detailed and so very complex! -
Nope, that's the same stuff I've been coming up with. If you ever listen to a song called "I'm a disco Dancer, and a Sweet Romancer," I believe it's lyrics were done using Simple Text as I recognize the voices from the program. It was a very simple, very basic text to speech program only associated with Mac's. The layout was very similar to Word Pad, but you had the option of about 20-25 different voices ranging from aliens, to robots, to comic-type voices. Very cool to play with, very annoying to the person next to you! LOL! It was one of my favorite "toy's" that I wish I had when using Window's, but again, now that I'm a Mac'er, I'd love to have the program if I can find it! Googling seems to get me no where!

Hello there. I've been with Window's XP for the longest time and my Sony computer was on it's last legg last week. So, for my 35th b-day present, I got a freaking awesome new Imac computer with a 1 TB hard drive, and a big, wide, screen. I absolutely love it! My Dad has no expereince with Mac's, but he is very well experienced with computers since day one! I've had some expereince with the Mac system since I was studying Graphic Design in college we used Mac systems. That was five years ago. Back then, I had alot of fun with a Mac-only program that I nearly 100% beleive was called Simple Text. It was a text-editing software that allowed you to hear your text. In other words, the computer would speak what you typed. What was special about it, is it had alot of really cool voices and most of those voices I hear in the music I listen too and I had fun playing with it. Unfortunetly, being that I was a Window's user, I was never able to get that software. Now that I have a Mac, I was hoping it would come with it, but it does not. It has some sort of text to speech program, but not the one I remember. Does any of you know what I'm talking about and where I can find the software for my new Mac system? I am totally in love with my new computer!

That was the reason for my project. That car you see drifting like that probably has the Suzuki engine in it.

The speakers are fake but it's better than nothing I suppose. Sorry I haven't been able to respond in the past three-four day's. My keyboard failed on my Thuresday morning, my dad just got home, and I got a brand new computer. So, I'm back up and running again. Thank you for your kind comments. I'll be buisy working on my new computer this weekend and probably wont' have time for the model for a while.

Classic BBS rims from?
FujimiLover replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Scale size sounds about right for the Smart. They may be wider than needed but that's okay, I'm sure with proper mods I can make'em fit right. PM me with detail's and let's chat via PM rather than clogging up this thread. I'm wondering if I can find a lower-profile set of tires that will fit. Tires might be too thick, but I won't know without having theme next to my Smart. -
Working suspension help!

If your talking about the hopping low-riders, there are kit's available for 1/24 1/25 scale kit's that do just what you want. -
What's on your playlist?
FujimiLover replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
When your old and gray and your son finds these songs, he'll be like. "What the heck is this stuff? You used to listen to this back in the day's?" Kind of like how we make fun of our old folk's. Funny though, the older I get, the more I appreciate the classic's. Classic Rock'n'roll, and classic Hot-Rods. Real stuff made by real men. And or women! Now'in day's everything is either computer generated, which is cool too, or store bought. -

Those look like it to me. Think they'll fit my Smart? I'll trade you those for the rest of the Honda Civic. I'll have to build the engine first to make sure I have all the engine parts. Without the original packag, I can't tell if those are EXACTLY what I'm looking for, but their certainly close enough they will work. Judging from the backside of those, they might very well be the ones. I might even toss in the wheels I was going to use as I think they were designed to fit the Honda Civic. -
Does anybody have two sheets of this stuff in 1/24 scale? http://store.scalemotorsport.com/merchant2...Category_Code=4 I have their plain-weave and it's not the same apperance. I'm really after their Carbon Fiber Twill Weave Black /Pewter Composite Fiber style. My local HS didnt' have this type in stock. I'd be happy to trade? I've got two of the plain weave, and I'd like to trade for 2 of the twill weave.

I was just watching Jason Statham's Death Race movie and didn't realize until today that there was a Porsche 911 and what look's like a Subaru WRX in there? As for machine gun's, I don't know what we'd find in 1/24 scale, but maybe something from any of the military vehicles, tank's and what not. Being mostly round shaped, I bet most of this stuff would be relatively easy to scratch-build perhaps? I've often had ideas of converting an 89 Honda CRX into a spy-car. Not really the same thing as these Mad-Max/Death Race type vehicles, but still something that could have hidden weapons, "defense mechanism's."

Hello there. I'm on the hunt for an old set of 1/24 scale model wheels that came on a flat cardboard covered with vacume-formed plastic. I want to say their classic Fujimi wheels, but I honestly can't remember who made'em. I'm looking for a set of really shiny, very classic BBS rims that look like their from the late 70's early 80's. They have a semi-deep dish look to'em and I can't remember if the kit came with tires or not. I think this was before the day's of the wheels being made with the hole on the wheel with poly-cap style mount. I've tried to google for it, but have had no luck. These could be had at hobby shops ages ago. I'm desperate for a set for my Smart Car project. IF I can some how find a picture, I'll post.

I only head-bang when I screw up on my model. DOH! Wack, wack, wack owie that hurt! LOL! I'd love to watch my digital movies on my computer, but the video playback on my computer glitches and is no fun to watch movies on it. I'm hopeing for my delayed b-day present I'll get a new computer with a much better video card. -
Painted the "roll-cage" white. Just like the KS 500 SL, there's not much difference in the photo. The carbon-fiber I got today I dont' think I want to use on this project. It's their plain-weeve type and just does not have that really awesome CF look I want. What I'm after is that nice deep black stuff you see on alot of tuner cars. I may have to order the correct CF directly from SMS themselves. I'm assuming their still in buisness? The stuff I got look's more brownish and does not have that proper pattern. Well, time to walk the D.O.G.
