  1. LOL! But you can see that is a model because it does not leak any fluid! I think you can build it, it is fun! Also because I don't want build more snow chains... Thank you Mike! Thank you David! It is possible, or at least close...
  2. Nice project, I will follow this, I always want to see this kit built. I used the air can too many years ago, and I don't thing I remember very well to give you any advice. For the airbrush, before paint the model, do some test on a scrap kit, or something else. The set on the second picture is color, if you use it with the airbrush you need to use some thinner.
  3. Thank you Daniel! Thank you Mark!
  4. Thank you Bill! Next time I will make some I will post picture. If I forgot, please remember me. Thank you!
  5. More... Snow plow almost done. Interior almost done. Snow plow done. Snow plow pump. Snow plow pump on the Jeep. Windshield installed.
  6. More progress... Snow plow cylinders. Snow plow pump and arm. Snow plow shoes. Dashboard, added heating controls, snow plow controls, and CB radio. Glove box open. Steering wheels and column.
  7. Some more... Added some detail on the carburetor. Starter. Engine. The body finally met the chassis.
  8. Thank you Mike! More progress... Snow chain, I don't know how many links flew around the room... But I was able to make 4 snow chains. One snow chain on the tire, it fit pretty good. All four tires. What a pain... Chassis painted. Rolling chassis.
  9. Good idea to reuse part of it for display your models. The doors will help to stop the dust, but the dust will go in anyway... I don't know what kind of door you are making, but probably some kind of rubber seal around it will help.
  10. Thank you Guys!!! Here more pictures... The windshield with side corners and hinges. Adjusted roof and added the front part. Body painted.
  11. You are doing a great job here, the body work is impressive.
  12. Thank you Guys!!! Here some more progress. Door hinges from the kit. New hinges. Inside of the door need some reshaping. Seats with new brackets. Tailgate from the kit. New hinges and lock. Tailgate on the Jeep.
  13. Thank you John! I will update soon. Cool! The one in my town, had the frame of the cab in wood, the outside part was metal. More update. The dashboard cleaned from the steering column support. I will remake a new one. Decided to make a open glove box door... I will remake the hood hinges too. Here the stock one.
  14. More progress. Snow plow arm. Snow plow blade attachment, Ready for the blade. The blade received some modification to resemble more the Meyer one.
  15. Thank you Chip! Yes it is metal, I think it is more strong than use plastic. Meyer snow plow did not have the light on the snow plow. I think they were added a the end of the 60's. So I don't think to put them on mine. Were I grew up, there was a Jeep Willys, ex-WWII, with snow plow, I don't remember the brand. The half cab on the kit is similar to the Meyer one, but the roof and door hinges are different, I think they made so for a easy assembly. Also there was different brand that make half cab or a full hard top with different configuration. Also Jeep sold its own cab/hardtop.
  16. I was thinking last night to make the front steering turning right and left. So I removed the front axle. Working on the right side of the axle (left on picture). The front axle finished. Back on the chassis.
  17. Thank you Mike! It is kind of a shame that they used a CJ-5 on the Dasy kit, also because they had the CJ-7 to use... The blade on the kit is not to bad, I think I will use it. What lights are you talking? I'm building the snow plow version, and I think to use the half cab. Sorry...
  18. Thank you Carl! It is slightly different. This kit has a V6 engine (Dauntless), so on the side of the fenders there is wrote Jeep and under it the V6 logo. Plus you have a soft top, half cab (with opening doors), snow plow, wide wheels (for the Dune Buggy) and stock tires, for the stock tires you can chose two kind of wheels, steel rims or chrome. Thank you Gaute!
  19. I need to put this build on stand by, I'm building a Jeep snow plow... You know it's winter... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=97431
