  1. Start to work on the engine. It is a Fiat 203, 6 cylinder diesel. 10.6 liter. It is called "Stingray", because it sit horizontal. This kind of horizontal engine were used a lot back then in the buses, because the engine was behind the front axle, and sitting horizontal will give more space for walk on top of it and for the seats. And Bartoletti a that time was pretty famous bus builder.
  2. Sweet project, looking forward to see more.
  3. Beautiful!
  4. Yes, because in Europe the road the road are narrow, and you need help on the turn. When Shelby bought the truck, he make add the third axle, to help carry the more weight from the Daytonas.
  5. Thank you guys!!! Thank you Speedfreak, if I complete it...
  6. Thank you! About the Dauphine, there is a 1/24 diecast, very well made, probably from there somebody can make a kit out of it. Dauphine at that time was sold also under Alfa Romeo...
  7. Very nice job done. Impressive car!
  8. Update, I open a Stolen mail case, on the 9/16, but I did not received a reply yet. The seller (modelempireusa.com) was so kind to contact me asking is I had received my PE parts, and said that they will send me another one for free!!! Really appreciate this, also because they didn't had any fault on this.
  9. Thank you all for your input! @Tom, wow, 5 years! At least they return it. @Covis, I will not hold my breath on the reply for the USPS, probably they will wash their hands saying that it shows was delivered... @Danno, I'm looking into the Postal Inspector, and the link will send me to the USPS, when I select Mail Theft, it show up another scroll down window, and on the list there is nothing that can apply to my item. Here the list: The one that could be close is Precious Metal. Thanks again guys!
  10. Some more details on the front and rear axles.
  11. Agree on the carbon fiber, looks great.
  12. Looking good!
  13. Looks good! I like the color too!
  14. I know that is not little, but to me does not make to much sense to me. Probably because I grew up playing with Lego Technic, where they had cars around 1/10 or little bigger, with a lot of working parts. Steering, suspension, transmission, etc... Last one I build (late 80's) was this kit 8865, with 900 parts that I still have and also had a "working" 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission, adjustable seats, retractable headlights. I know, it was not pretty like body shape and it was a "fantasy" car, but to me it is more interesting that this Corvette. A nice article about the kit 8865. http://www.technicopedia.com/8865.html On mine I closed the hood and modify the body little bit, add doors and roof.
  15. Thank you Speedfreak! Here the rear axles. Slowly slowly I do something on this project, I have been busy doing projects around the house.
  16. Indeed! Looks good!
  17. Looking good! Like the color choice.
  18. Looks a good start! Sorry I cannot help you with the chrome part.
  19. If I was 5-10 year old, I would love to have it, but now I prefer model kit.
  20. That's a crazy story Mark. The mailman usually deliver in this area looks pretty smart and do a good job, except that day. @BirdWatcher, I could, but I think a this point is easy to buy a new one. @ChrisPflug, LOL!!! I printed out probably 20 flyer and put in some mailboxes and post around here on Friday, but nobody returned my mail. I ask the mailman, but he did not remember my envelope. The funny thing is that I contact the USPS by email, and they did not reply, but they sent me an email with a survey, asking about their customer service and if I was happy with the response (that I didn't get)...
  21. In my case, I don't blame to much the mailman, make mistake, error is human, it happen. The neighbor keeping the mail, that's not nice, above all when is not a junk mail...
  22. Same here, it is faster drive 6 miles (one way) to go to another post office (bigger) than go to the one in my town, smaller and slower... To go back in topic, one time I saw a couple a the post office with a brand new ipad in the original box, and they put it on a USPS box, without nothing! They also ask tape, pencil a the postal guy. I never had any issue with USPS, and I ship internationally too. Except this week when I check a tracking number of a envelope from Wisconsin to here, it said delivered, but the mailman put it in the wrong mailbox. Inside there was PE parts... And no neighbor return it yet...
  23. I can understand that they open it, maybe they did not pay enough attention, but why keep it there for so long. What they gain to do that? Make me wonder, how many times it happen with non tracking mail, and this kind of people keep/read your mail. Agree, pretty sure a neighbor got it. We left the house that night around 7:00PM, so I don't think they delivered that mail a that time. Plus it says that was delivered at 2:04PM, and make sense. I check the delivery of the package the mail man left a the door, and it says that was delivered at 2:06PM. I contact USPS via email, but they did not yet reply me. I did not chose the shipping method, because I never had any issue before.
  24. Thank you guys! Some progress... Front axle is on the chassis.
