  11. The height looks way better now.
  12. Engine also looks great!
  13. Thank you Tom! I think with the top down fit better the car (convertible) and Janis personality. I need to search what model of Rolls Royce Lennon had, and see if there is a model in scale that can be used, but for now, I need to rest my eyes, back and neck. I'm not 20 anymore...
  14. Thank you Ken! I think most of the credit should go to Dave Richard, the guy that painted the 1/1 car in the 1968. I only try to replicate or copy it as close I can in scale. I'm not a psychedelic paint fan, but more I look more I like, also because now I have a 360 of the car with the paint job, instead of looking a flat picture. And I think Dave, did a paint job that fit very well the body of a 356. Thank you Tommy! I think this is a huge compliment, i don't know, but if you believe that and know a museum that want it, I can send it to them. So I can have more space to park another model car.
  15. I notice that, yesterday night I google Danbury, and cannot find any model car, I saw a bunch of dolls and other collectibles, but no cars, for a moment I thought I was on a wrong site. Agree with you, very sad, I always loved Danbury, glad I was able to collect a few. I hope it does not happen like AutArt and some out of production models, that they replicate in China and sold them, they pop up on ebay like crazy. It is funny that you said that, but I was thinking the same. I don't like convertible Porsche, I prefer them Coupe, that's why I had the Coupe model kit. I'm also not a big fan of psychedelic paint job, but more I look a this and more I like it. I think Dave Richards made a great job painting the 1/1 car so, each side blend very well with the body of the car. Thank you Again Danno!
  16. Thank you Terry, I really enjoy do tis paint work, It went very smooth, and was a great opportunity to me to learn more about painting. Thank you Jonathan!
  17. That's beautiful!
  18. Other stories that came out about woman around me and my models. The woman are my mom and my sweet half... My sweet half respect my hobby, and she is very careful with my models. Last year we went to a model car show, the models (8) were in a cardboard box in the back seat. She was driving, and when we arrived we saw the speed bumps too late... The box was on it's side... Luckily only two models need some easy fixing, that I was able to do a the show, and enter them. About my mom... Well, sometime she cleaned the room where the models are, parts were missing, sometime some broken models, and in one case one went MIA... After I told her that I will clean that room, and since that no other disaster happened. This is one of my oldest disaster story that I can remember, late 90's... I scratch built a Iety, a 4x4 car made by a very very small company in Itali in teh 70's, it had 4 wheel drive, and 4 steering wheels, with the possibility to chose if you want the front, back or all 4 to steer. It also had a soft top, and the body was made in aluminum, and soft top. It was small, kind of a old Fiat 500, and it used Fiat parts. Pretty cool little machine that can go anywhere in the mountain. I scratch built one for my dad in 1/20 scale, and when I painted I put it in front of a door that goes out in a terrace thinking that if somebody need to go out will see it (big mistake). My dad go out and CracK!!!! He step on it!!! But I was able to fix it.
  19. Thank you GeeBee, I think the top down fit better the car, if not why build a convertible... I can send you the Top up back. I hope so Larry, I think also to build a 1/24 Janis, to put close to the car.
  20. Thanks you Bill! That would be era correct!
  21. I prefer the 356 coupe, so that's why I put the roof in the closed position. But it is a convertible a the end, so the roof need to be down! Thank you Jonathan! I think to make also Janis, and put it close to the car. Thank you Jonny!!!
