I just finish this one. It is a Suzuki Jimny from Aoshima, snap kit in 1/32. All the pieces fit great, great quality molding and casting, in fact you can build it without painting it. The decals also are very good, not water slide, but paper decal. I modified it little bit cutting the front bender bottom part and fill the tail light on the rear bumper. Also decided to make new steele wheels instead of the one that came with the kit. I decided to give it a retro look, so I painted the grille, mirrors and rear bumper the same color of the body, front bumper painted white. Like the old LJ20 from the early 70's. Fun and fast kit to build! Here the work on front and rear bumper. The front one I had to add a piece on the bottom to cover where i cut. the rear I had to add a piece across because it looks better.

What is the best glue for glass/clear surfaces?
Brizio replied to AlbertS's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
It depend how big they are, on a model in 1/25 I use Mikro mark Same Stuff plastic welder. On model in 1/5 scale two part epoxy, using a tooth pick. -

I'm having the same problem, I'm using a Mac, Chrome and I disactivated ad blocker. If this is going to be fixed, it would be possible to have a new tread with the info. Because reply to this post will add more to the 2nd page and I cannot have access. Thanks! -
It is always fun to build! Agree on the casting, it is pretty nice and clean, with minimal flashing. Good to know about the '62 chassis. Thanks Bob!

I usually live the metal axle, ora add metal pins if needed, I find it more secure to hold the weight of the car. I like better the '62, but this is a specific build and need a '64.

I just paint the motor, soon I'll post some photos. Thank you Bob! Thank you Sam!

Thank you David! Thanks David! It is based on the real barnmobile. Thank you David! Glad you like it!

I'll post few, the rest with the build are on my instagram. I cannot post the link for some reason. It is based on an existing barn-vehicle. It seems that the 1/1 one has a Chevy van under it. Than kyou Alan! LOL! Than kyou Garry! For sure! Thank you David!

It is finally finished, way fun to build it! The running gear/chassis is out of a 1986 Chevy El Camino SS. Steering wheels, seat and hubcaps are from the spare part box, so no idea where they came from. The barn is scratchbuilt, also all the tools on it, shovel, bucket, lantern, light ficture, horse shoe and scythe. I had particular fun making the scythe and the wind mill. The wind mill will spin!

Show Us Your Work Bench
Brizio replied to Bruce Poage's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Some great work areas for sure! I just remodel mine at work, unfortunately I cannot take photo of the movie props, cannot take photo inside the building either. Believe me great stuff! Here my workbench at home, I usually post in my treads. -

Looking good! my old, old boss wife had a 850 T5R wagon, in yellow. Drove it few times, fun car considering the shape.

I like the concept and execution, can't wait to see more.

Working with resin / 3D printed parts
Brizio replied to RocketFoot's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Not knowing the engine you have, some parts can be glued together before primer and paint. Some it is easy to prep and paint them separately. Same with the wheels. if you glue them, they are going to fit the tire? Of is better glue them directly on the tire? Maybe post a photo so we can give you more info. -
I use the same trick at work. Using a leftover piece of silicone. It works great also for epoxy

Pretty cool kit, one day I will build it, since we have a IROC... I build the Pace car 14 years ago. Wires the engine bay was a big part of the job. Also paint all the stripes... Since the kit offered the option to build the Pace Car version, I wish they add flags, light bars, t-top, etc... But easy thing to scratch.

Some progress, getting close to be done... Still a lot of work to do... Engine bay, after the chassis was glued to the body. : )

On my work bench at home I try to put away everythig a the end of any session. Except when I'm getting close to be done, I let the model out until completed. At work, is little bit different. My work bench is little bit messy. I try to organize, but sometime is difficult.

Thank you JC! It is going to be different.

They do some pretty cool works for sure. The body could be painted, but also leaved so. I think they start to follow what Bandai do, super clean casting and plastic parts in different colors. I will paint mine anyway. They sell a lot of them!
