  1. That was the fun part of the build. Nobody would drive something like this for a trip, above on offroad trails. My bike is more like the rat bikes that were around before building a rat rod or better a rat bike was a build itself. like this one.
  2. I would do the same. One time they had to shut down the highway, because somebody lost control (was wet) of the truck, and hit the median for bounce back on the far right lane. Luckly nobody was injured, but there was piece everywere!
  3. Thank you Bob! The Harley was a fun buld, altough I prefer smaller scale, but It is nice to see it done. I'm working on different builds, beside builds I do for work... Lately I start to play with Matchbox cars... Giving them a "what if" touch, but keeping them box stock.
  4. I ike it! It remind me when the Lotus team in F1 were sponsored by Camel.
  5. Nice job on it, looks great! I know Heller kits are a pain to build... Above all the old ones...
  6. I always wanted to do a Rat Harley, but never did until recently... I remember the Rat Hole show a the Daytona Bike Week, in the 90's. It was run by Big Daddy Roth. The rat bikes were used, and had a bunch of stuff on them, like a collection of items on wheels. Now the rat bikes are build to look like old. A lot of Harleys were WLA (military version) painted at some point in a "regular" color, or colors. I had a ESCI WLA in 1/9 scale, that fitted perfectly for this project. The kit was made in the late 70's, but the parts are pretty good and not many flashes The major thing I did, was replacing all teh fuel, fluid linees, using metal wire. Also added a lot of electrical wires. . And here the Rat Harley, mostly of the stuff you see on it where scratchbuild. It is funny how sometime the items take longer to be build than the actual kit. And yes, it leaks oil. I mean it marks it's terrritory... Here is why I'm saying that sometime the items take longer to be build, than the actual model. On the left is the stock side bag. On the right the one I made. for make it I first made a metal frame of the shape of the bag, laser welded togheter. Covered with soft vinyl that looks like leather, added piping and painted. The three belts, are from the kit. Here the aluminum suit case and the bag that is going to be on the front fender. You can see it in picture #4. Here the suitcase finished. The cans are made out of plastic.
  7. Few weeks ago I bought this kit, It seems a fun quick project to build. It is like a Snap kit pretti much, and came with two set of decals, one is waterslide and the oter one is sticker. The casting is nice, no flashing, and all teh parts are pretty crisp!
  8. Thank you Bill. Here the washing machine and oven, you can see also the truck in the background. https://www.instagram.com/p/CUTy33pAyp5/ Thank you Anton! Thank you MArk! Thank you Jim! Thank you Danno!

  13. Thank you Ricky! I'm very atttached to this truck, mostly some stuff on the back, like the tricycle. It helped me to get a job as model builder. I though to paint it green, I love the green color, like my truck. Thank you Kevin!
  14. Thank you Andrew! Thank you Fred!
  15. I always wanted to do a scrap metal truck, I have seen few when for work I was going in some small towns and loved them. A friend gave me this C20 last year. Somebody start to work on it, shortning the bed. Since the bed was chopped off, not accurately for a short bed. I decided to bring it back to "full size"... The kit is the AMT 1972 Chevy Fleetside. The truck has some trims, that I remove all of them except for the tailgate and passenger door. After I painted the dorr and tailgate in a different color. As some would have replace them at some point. The rest of the body after been damaged, was painted in a torquise color. When the body was completed I weatered few time. The motor is the stock that came with the kit, I detailed up little bit the engine bay, and added wires and hoses. I replace the rear tire with some more "agressive", this will help during the winter, they said... In the interior I added few details too. Seat cover is a must! Of course the keys, on the ignition. I printed out some comic books from that era like who drove was into comic books. And also smoked Marlboro... Now to the fun part, the back of the truck... I built a classic rack for the bed, this will help to contain all the scrap metal. I started to make a washer and dryer, a oven. But was not enough to fill up the long bed... I also use some car parts, like hood, door and fender. After I made a file cabinet, locker, bicycle cframe, trycicle a walker, lamp stand, and a bunch of other small things. Building all the stuff in the back was fun, challenging and toke longer than build the truck itself...
  16. I usually use Zap glue.
