  1. I would like to watch/ready every post, but I don't have too much time.
  2. During the weekend I was able to finish some work on the body, and put some primer on it. The rear part required little work for the conversion from coupe to convertible. Also the bottom part is removed.
  3. Cool! I remember seen also a video of a 1/1 Spitfire made like the Airfix model.
  4. The Bomber dinner is still there, at least I was there last year for the Cruise in. The Airplane at some point will be removed for restoration. There is a little museum on the parking lot, with great military?airplane stuff, and pieces of the Bomber. It depend how much time you have and if you are here during the week end. The club I belong have one monthly meeting on Sunday, you could be a guest, and see some models, built or in progress. Another store is in Hillsboro, Hobby Shop, you can find a lot of stuff to. But it will be around 30 minutes from PDX. The Bomber last year... The Bomber Burgher, with the Secret Weapon, if you eat all (french fries included) you get a prize...

  14. Thank you Patrick! Ok, now I get it the outlaw style, Beautiful 356 in the picture, but I think it looks better coupe than convertible, and I already cut the roof. Here some small progress... I had a busy week... Transmission Start to work on the VW engine.
  15. A friend of mine for his autocross race car used to search for old ambulances, because of the engine. Thank you!
  16. Some more progress. I'm happy that the kit has the Michelin tires, for what I know, some 356 kits had "blank" tires. Dashboard almost done. Only thing added was the key and keychain.
  17. Thank you! Interesting about Herbie! About VW engine swap... In the 70's-80's in Italy (probably in different country too) there was different VW T2 ambulance and later T3 that had a Porsche engine.
  18. Thank you Jon! I will post more pics later today.
