  1. Evidently he was conscious at the scene, then slipped into a coma. His current coma was medically induced following brain surgery.
  2. Here's a tribute from STP/Ultimatecarpage.com with 35 images. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/2036/Lotus-56-Pratt-and-Whitney.html
  3. More possibilities, from fashion to fine art: http://edition.cnn.com/2013/12/18/world/impossible-art-mind-bending-3-d-printed-masterpieces/index.html?hpt=hp_bn6
  4. Could the 1935 Morgan supply more accurate wheels? Or a motorcycle kit? I'm sure you're aware of this one, which is Martin Swire's (comparatively) simple wire wheel technique for the 1/16 Hispano-Suiza that doesn't require a complex jig. http://www.freewebs.com/martsmodels/hispanot15wheelconver.htm
  5. This belongs in the magazine with your Dennis fire truck.
  6. That's the best build I've ever seen of this kit. I painted mine black and silver with a brown interior, and had to make tire treads out of putty.
  7. Sorry, the Duesey is long gone. There is another thread here about it, but not much detail there. Mine was a curbside with no plated parts, and 2-piece tires integrated with the wheel covers. I made tire treads with putty. EXTREMELY simple kit, but it seems accurate enough and can be scratch-detailed to make a very nice display model. Plating and a few aftermarket Pocher parts would finish it off beautifully. Here's the other thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23140
  8. I never knew that such a kit existed. I would pay big bucks if I could find one (doesn't show up on Google).
  9. Outstanding. Just the right amount of custom bling.
  10. This just gets better and better. I've often toyed with the concept of how you're doing the piano hinge, but haven't yet figured out the best way of attaching and gluing it. Can you show more detailed photos when they're done? Thanks.
  11. Nice work on both models, guys, and those wheels really take the curse off the Bburago wires. Where did you get them?
  12. Spectacular work, and the photography shows everything very well.
  13. It appears that eBay does not understand the meaning of "no reserve" as used in the rest of the auction world. And perhaps Mr. Just should consider the necessity of such a post? http://www.ebay.com/gds/NO-RESERVE-/10000000008714804/g.html
  14. Well...the kit was offered at no reserve, got no bids by the end of the listing, and therefore could have been purchased at any price you would have been willing to pay.
  15. What's wrong with posting a thread that would pique the interest and enthusiasm of our members? Last I heard, there's a certain amount of leeway on this forum.
  16. Shortly after the introduction of the 1/12 Mustang, I heard Revell's Ed Sexton on a podcast saying that the company was not interested in producing any further kits in large scale. He didn't go into detail, but I think we'll have to look elsewhere for more large-scale kits. A shame, since 1/16 is my favorite scale with more subject matter of interest to me. 1/12 is even better, but I don't want anything along the lines of American muscle cars or F1.
  17. Here's a start: http://cs.scaleautomag.com/sca/general_discussion/f/3/t/113982.aspx There also used to be a section of pinned tutorials at the top of the page, which you can probably access using Ace's method at the top of the Questions forum. More good ones here: http://www.italianhorses.net/tutorials/tutorials.htm
  18. You can also print out whatever wood grain you want and make stickers or decals. http://www.certainlywood.com/woodmenu2.cfm?p=6
  19. If it's a partner to the "cam-a-matic" Duesenberg that I built, it's closer to 1/10.

    67 Charger

This is an excellent build, but if you look at the 4th picture, it is definitely not shiny. Needs more gloss.
  21. The ramps should be more of an aluminum color and not shiny Alclad.
  22. Just a note to Moebius: you could build a stronger brand if your name wasn't so subtle on the box top.
  23. This is the car that Ben wants to match.
