  1. Same way. Camera brand doesn't matter as long as you can open the files. I have a Samsung and didn't have to load any software. Just plug n' play. I'm on Mac with an HP printer, and both offer built-in photo editing.
  2. In black, it looks a lot like a Batmobile.
  3. Neither the Pocher instructions or box top carry any reference to official licensing or copyrights from Mercedes, but neither do any of my classic Mercedes kits in plastic - and these kits would be pretty hard to develop without Mercedes cooperation. However, Revell's more recent kits carry "Licensed by Daimler" (or Jaguar, Ferrari, etc.) on the box top, as does the recent Akai SLS AMG RC box.
  4. You should be able to use a USB cable. Do you have one for your camera? Or you may need an adapter to attach your memory card to your computer. Once plugged in, you should see a camera icon on your desktop - just click to open. http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/readers/
  5. Expect to find a horde of Pocher fanatics at your door with torches.
  6. Try the Model Master buffing metallizer paints.
  7. Has anybody mentioned that you should see a professional jeweler?
  8. 1:14 Mercedes SLS AMG radio-controlled car with a great body and interior, which I intend to repaint and detail, and open the gullwing doors. In large scale, many RC cars have better bodies, etc., than kits, although they're curbside (I'll never use the RC features, though working headlights are a good thing). Check out the Casino Royale Aston Martin in 1:14.
  9. Another great build, Krishna. On your next ones, I wish you would show us your interiors before you finish the build.
  10. That macro looks great. Experiment with flooding it with brighter lighting and it might get even sharper at a deeper depth of field.
  11. I can store photos on Fotki, but I can't post them without a paid account. Photobucket is very good. On the other hand, you can just attach images that you post on this site the same way as you do e-mail, if you use the Full Editor or More Reply Options button at the bottom of your posting box. But it doesn't store images.
  12. I was just wondering if they could scan a 1/24 parts tree and enlarge it to 1/14. I have a very nicely molded 1/14 RC Mercedes SLS AMG with a detailed interior (which, of course, is a curbside), that I would like to add an engine to, and I've ordered a 1/24 Revell kit to use as detail reference.
  13. Are these made-to-order parts or from their inventory?
  14. Yes, I knew exactly what you were talking about. But, as the original poster, I maintain that it's a news item of general interest regarding the resurrection of a legendary brand of model kits by one of Europe's best-known hobby companies. And it belongs right here. The first half of your post agrees with that. The second half doesn't. ? Anyway, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
  15. If you're referring to your previous post about this thread not being in Big Boyz, we still don't know what's coming up. Hornby brands include a variety of hobby companies including slot cars, and who knows? There may be Pocher line extensions in smaller scales, which would be quite a piece of news. What difference does it make where this thread is posted? It's still of general interest.
  16. I'd say the Big Deuce has that covered, and I certainly wouldn't look for American hot rod fodder from a European company. Whatever they come up with, it's sure to be 1:8 since the new Pocher landing page says Pocher 1:8 Model Kits.
  17. What is a memral or meral? Can't figure this one out,
  18. At 1:8, you'd have to add a spare room for a Royale.
  19. From a South African member at scalemotorcars.com "Hi Skip, I have been communicating with one of the Lemke folks. Lemke used to be the official distributor of Pocher in Germany for many years. He confirmed that they are working with Hornby to relaunch the Pocher brand in 2013. The will be a line of new models with new materials, though he would not reveal what these would be, nor did he say anything about rereleases of existing models. The launch or announcement is scheduled to happen in Feb at the Nurmberg Toy fair. I guess we dont have too long to wait."
  20. More that I don't quite get, that are found commonly: "Tom graduated high school in 1985": Why not "graduated FROM high school?" "Tom added a couple ideas to the discussion." Why not "added a couple OF ideas..?" And this one, found often in newspaper car ads... "Engine needs fixed," or similar. Why not engine needs TO BE fixed"?
  21. Very nice build, and the convertible top is perfect. Show us more pictures. I love stock approaches. But... HINT: Typing in all capital letters irritates many people because it look like shouting.
  22. Yes, all over the place. How do you want to post your pictures? Using Photobucket? Fotki? Directly from your computer using this site's attachment feature (recommended -- works just like attaching images to e-mail)? As Futurabat mentioned, there's a pinned subject in Tips, Tricks and Tutorials for using Photobucket, which I consider to be an unnecessarily complicated and overlong tutorial (and there are a million other conversations on this site about the subject, but you won't find them with the useless MCM search function): Just go with the site's attachment feature, using the "Use Full Editor" button at the bottom of your post box.
  23. I guess I have to pay my American Express bill now.
  24. Are you waiting with baited breath? (in-joke)
  25. There's some discussion at scalemotocars.com (large-scale site) that new Pocher kits will be announced on January 30 at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. This is reinforced by a Pocher presentation at the Hornby website (they own the Pocher brand). Will these be new kits or reissues? We'll find out. http://www.scalemotorcars.com/forum/large-scale-cars/54497-pocher-re-launch-rumours.html The teaser (no images or specifics) is a bit over halfway through the historical presentation... http://www.pocher.com/
