  1. Michael Learned (Ma Walton).
  2. I have a theory that I think holds water. The blonde is an uncredited extra who never played a significant part on Mannix. Having been a student intern on Quinn Martin TV shows, I know that series production companies pretty much used stock companies of extras (bit players / background players / atmosphere, etc) who were around the set frequently or all the time; often, "wild" footage would be picked up for unknown potential use, just in case. I came across a Mannix fan site where the name THORDIS BRANDT came up on the same subject of the title dancer, but not followed through on. [monsterkidclass.horrorforum.yuku.com], and that's who I think it is. She appeared in an uncredited part in Mannix, season 2 ("Pressure Point") as Miss Hampstead. From Wikipedia: A bit player for most of her career, she appeared in such TV shows as Burke's Law "The Girl from UNCLE", "The Green Hornet", "Mannix" and a brief appearance in the 1967 episode of "The Fugitive", The One That Got Away. Thordis' appearances rarely required her to speak.[2]
  3. She kind of reminds me of Leslie Parrish, who was in the first season. (Isn't that Buster Keaton with Billingsley?)
  4. She can invade my nightmares anytime...
  5. Patty McCormack is new; Margaret Hamilton appeared a few pages back.
  6. Can't tell you about the Mannix girl, but this thread is mostly about semi-forgotten stars or photos that make them hard to identify. Ann-Margret is pretty unmistakable.
  7. I once spent a week around her while I was an intern at Warner Bros., in this case on the "Banyon" TV series. Best known to us guys on the forum for her role in "Grand Prix," she is one of the most stunningly beautiful women I have ever met in person -- along with Stefanie Powers ("The Girl From U.N.C.L.E."), who was a guest star on a "Search" episode.
  8. No, she was sort of a cameo in a music video, as Julie Andrews sang "Feed the Birds" in "Mary Poppins." It's Jane Darwell, who got the supporting actress Oscar as Ma Joad in "The Grapes of Wrath" and appeared in films like "Gone With the Wind" and many others. Even though she appeared for only a few seconds in Poppins, she was still fondly remembered back then (at age 87; Walt Disney had to convince her to do it.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHrRxQVUFN4
  9. This Oscar winner appeared in many classic films, but she stole the show in this movie scene where she didn't speak a word.
  10. June Foray, voice of Natasha Fatale on Rocky and Bullwinkle.
  11. No. It's Ewa Aulin, the titular star of the movie version of "Candy," (1968), a big-studio sex farce that spoofs pornography, wherein she is seduced by Marlon Brando, Richard Burton, Ringo Starr, John Astin, James Coburn, Walter Matthau and John Huston (whose careers seem not to have been damaged, as they tried to seem relevant during the psychedelic era), with bystanders including Sugar Ray Leonard and a host of popular European stars.
  12. Probably the least-famous star in an infamously bad movie with an all-star cast.
  13. Stephanie Zimbalist, Efrem Jr.'s daughter.
  14. Barbara Hale was also married to Bill Williams, Kit Carson on 50s TV, and he's their son.
  15. One thing I love about this thread is that the stars of yesteryear aren't being forgotten. They worked hard and had great careers for a while. Same goes for all media stars.
  16. A very sad story, tied to Hollywood rampant racism. Here's another one for we in the AARP crowd:
  17. Continuing the risk of driving away more Millennials...
  18. Catherine Deneuve.
  19. Is there such a thing as working, assembled motorcycle chain in 1:24?
  20. Cheryl Ladd was married to David Ladd, who was Alan Ladd's son.
  21. BINGO. Quote from "The Carpetbaggers" with George Peppard; Alan Ladd played movie cowboy Nevada Smith -- McQueen did a prequel.
  22. HINT #1: HE: What do you want see on your honeymoon? SHE: Lots of lovely ceilings! HINT #2: In the same movie, Alan Ladd created a supporting role that became a feature film for Steve McQueen.
  23. June Havoc and Gypsy Rose Lee: Sisters.
  24. I'd say you nailed it. I couldn't figure out the role of the vertical rod on the front -- maybe a drop-down stabilizer to keep the car in place when it's at rest?
