  1. As martinfan5 mentioned, Clarkson & friends have a new show coming in the fall, "The Grand Tour."
  2. Looks like you've got it down nicely.
  3. The driver is from the area's largest towing company and, indeed, is AAA certified.
  4. So the whole problem is with the wire wheels? The expensive answer, of course, is modelmotorcars.com. But contact Marvin Meit there for his opinion. He'll shoot you straight and is always ready to help, even if he doesn't sell you something.
  5. Due to a faulty cam sensor which was causing my 2004 Infinti to stall while running, and not a good thing if I'm making a left turn with oncoming traffic, I just had my car towed (only 40,000 miles on the odometer). I asked the truck driver, who has been doing this for over 20 years, what were the cars he towed the most? He said the following were most common, by far: Lexus Infiniti Mercedes
  6. One of my favorites from the '60s.
  7. Nope. Her name is Elizabeth Louise Malamalamaokalani White Logue, who appeared in the original Five-O titles, and that info is online.
  8. No points without a name.
  9. Speaking of the unidentified Mannix girl, this titles girl can easily be found (but not easily pronounced).
  10. No, the question was about a girl with a surfboard. This shot is about the girl in the Munsters, and they don't look like the same girl to me.
  11. Shirley Jones.
  12. Okay, Ace, who is it?
  13. Excellent point, Michael. The house was indeed included in his will.
  14. I have a 1:16 vintage Rolls kit, molded in near-perfect black plastic. Rather than risk boogers or dust in paint or clear coat, what prep and polish would achieve the glossiest finish?
  15. It strikes me that the swoop from the nose down to the fenders should have more of a rounded curve than the sharp corners shown here.
  16. Patton died in a suspicious car crash at the end of the war. Suspicious if you're given to conspiracy theories
  17. I never watched that show, but it appears you're right. It's Evangeline Lilly, and I was thinking of "The Hobbit."
  18. This is where the model car mania began for me. In the early 50s, my Dad took me to a toy store and I fell in love with a dark gray version of this imported friction toy. It was $8, so my Dad said it was too expensive. I think I've been compensating ever since.
  19. Let's try someone more current. (didn't mean for it to be so large)
  20. No problem here on iMac and Firefox.
  21. Angelina has had a few procedures, but her lips were probably reduced. If you look at her father, Jon Voight, it looks like she inherited her lips from him.
  22. I used to use Letraset transfers, which came in thousands of fonts and point sizes. But most dry transfers peel off the transfer paper over time, so be careful to use new stock and seal after applying.
  23. On CBS news this morning: A Minnesota collector left his model cars to his church -- over 32,000 diecasts, kits, pedal cars, etc. His display cases and loose cars covered every wall and horizontal surface in every room of his house, with overflow under the beds, in the attic and garage, and even laid out on top of beds. In the garage, he had a real Model A and Edsel station wagon. As they were recording the story, they said that more models were still being delivered after his death.
