  1. 2nd JDM model I’ve completed so far…. This one is a curbside painted with some hardware store acrylic lacquer spray. The wheels and tires are Aoshima 19” SSRs with tires that simulate the “stretched” look. The kit body mods (spoilers, over fenders, zg nose) are very popular and pretty common here in Japan. Thanks for looking! ?
  2. Cool Hot Rod…love the paint on the top!
  3. Nice proportions on the chop…now you just need get back out in the garage and finish it?
  4. Very clean work…the dark green really compliments the wood.
  5. Sweet looking Beatnik Bandit Eric! The extra detailing really paid off and really nice work on the decals…one of nicer examples of this kit I’ve seen.
  6. Great looking Nova! Nice work…especially considering this is just your 4th model.
  7. Hey Jeff…welcome to the forum.
  8. Thank You all for your comments ?
  9. Very sharp…great job detailing the engine compartment.
  10. Really Cool…beautiful color!
  11. I recently moved to Japan so I decided to build a few JDM Hot Rods (not something I’d normally build). This one’s a curbside with no engine, not much chassis detail, and a really simple interior…but the body is really nice and the kit looks pretty good on the shelf. The paint is Tamiya Silver Leaf with Pearl Clear, the spoilers / over fenders are painted with Tamiya Gunmetal, and the wheels and tires are from Fujimi. Thanks for lookin’…?
  12. Cool Old School Hot Rod Bernard…definitely has a “used” look, great collection of vintage parts, and the chop looks really good on a 3 window! Nice work and it’s good to hear you’re feeling better after your bout with the “bug”.
  13. AMT 32 Ford Coupe…Drag City Resin wheels, AMT 57 Corvette engine and trans….and the inspiration for the build.
  14. Beautiful little Hot Rod…the stance is perfect and nice job getting the engine with the front mounted blowers to fit in such a small car. Very clean!?
  15. Very Cool…great looking traditional Hot Rod. The kit bashed parts, stance, and tinted windows all work together.
  16. Couple of 29 Fords… Roadster is AMT 29 Ford Body on AMT 32 Ford Chassis and Pickup is Revell Body on AMT 32 Ford Chassis.
  17. Monogram 57 Nomad…Jus havin’ fun!
  18. Hey Conrad…overall the model doesn’t look too bad. It appears the thing you had the most trouble with was the black trim on the windows and body. It looks as if you tried to free hand it with a brush and bottle paint. Get yourself some Tamiya masking tape in various widths and use it to mask off the trim then spray paint it. Use thin coats and take your time, at first it won’t be easy but you’ll get better with each model. See you’re living in Japan also, if you don’t mind me asking…where in Japan do you live. PM me if you have any questions or need some help. Take Care…
  19. Great looking Hot Rod Nick…love the blue and white with black accents, nice color combo.?
  20. Damn Dave…that is Sweet! Love everything about it, especially the paint and rose colored glass. ?
  21. Too Cool…the modifications you performed suit the old classic perfectly, nice work!?
  22. January 4th Roger Hayes, aka Plowboy passed away. https://www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com/obituaries/Roger-Dale-Hayes?obId=26835242 I always enjoyed following what Roger was working on…he had keen eye when it came to body shapes and proportions. RIP Roger.
  23. Guys, found some info and it’s not looking good. The obituary at the link I posted is for Roger D. Hayes from Tyner Kentucky. A few years ago I sent Roger some parts and still have his address, sadly it matches the address listed here… https://www.yellowbook.com/people/roger-hayes/kentucky/ Rest in peace Plowboy, you will be missed.
  24. I have also been wondering about Roger. After reading the posts here I did some checking on line, it doesn’t look good… Check this link. https://www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com/obituaries/Roger-Dale-Hayes?obId=26835242 . While I’m not 100% sure it’s him, it definitely appears that this is our friend, in one of his last posts he mentioned he had COVID. While it all seems to fit together…I hope I’m wrong.
  25. Great looking Truck…the Torque Thrust wheels were a good choice!?
