My Monogram Deuce obsession - a lifetime of hot rod models!
Flatout replied to alan barton's topic in Model Cars
Very Cool Alan…great looking Roadsters! I’ve enjoyed this kit since I was a kid and still enjoy building it. I built the gold one years ago and have had one in work for ever and have 2 more unbuilt. Thanks for sharing these and thanks for the invite to share our builds. -

Latest release of the AMT 29 Ford Pickup/Woody kit. An old and simple kit…frame is molded with the fenders, a lot of flash on the parts, and poor parts fit all really show the kit’s age. That said, the finished model looks good on the shelf . Wheels and tires are from Modelhaus. The stance has been modified, the front axle is from the Revell 32 Ford. The surf boards are from the Revell 31 Ford Sedan. The paint is an Ice Blue Pearl Nail Polish over a light metallic blue base. Thanks for lookin!?

Great looking model Jim! Love that interior…

Lookin’ Good Alan! It’s amazing how good this kit has stood the test of time…with a little extra work the finished model looks as nice as any of the more modern kits. I’m gonna have to see if I have a few more of these in the stash. Well done!

Those are some good looking Sedans…here’s mine from when the kit was 1st released. Almost out the box, changed the wheel/tires and lowered.

Thanks Carl!

Dang Greg…that is nice. The stance, rally wheels, and color combo are all “just right” . The mods you performed on the front bumper make it look much better than any out the box build of this kit I’ve seen. Well done…

Beautiful work Garry! The Coupe and trailer look very nice but the wagon got my attention immediately, one of the best builds of this kit I have seen. The detailing is exceptional …how did you do the emblems and script on the body?

Thanks David!
