  1. I think the bean counters make those kinds of decisions. They know that a lot of modelers are interested in '32 Fords, they just aren't sure about the 'fringe' players. I would love to see some the old stuff from the '60s, if we make enough noise who knows what would happen? They must follow forums like this.
  2. I like the term"ricey mods". I have a corvette and it's a driver, not a show car. I tend to agree with the idea "if it don't make it faster, it's a waste of money". There are a lot of 'gimmicky' things out there for cars, corvettes in particular, remember the hot pink wiper blades!!!!
  3. I bought 4 cans of Testors spray paint. I'm trying not to buy kits until I thin out my pile, which may take a while.
  4. My grandmother used to say"If you can't take the heat. Get out of the kitchen". So don't post if you can't take it. If you put your work on display someone is bound to take a shot at it.
  5. Nice job, I have this kit in my model mausoleum. Somewhere. Did you do any research on the car? I'm not sure if it was a real Carrera car or a figment of a Revell designers imagination.
  6. That's very interesting. Every review of the kit I've seen is very positive. Not sure I understand.
  7. I don't patronize my Michael's without my 40% off coupon and even then the selection is pretty ugly. I can get what I want online, pay shipping, and still beat the coupon price. About all I buy there is bottle paint. The clerks look at you really funny when you use a 40% off coupon on a $2.65 bottle of paint.
  8. I've never seen them in 1/24, 1/25 scale. I imagine you could find one in the smaller scales from overseas. You could find a MG Midget and kitbash it? I've seen Midgets in diecast.
  9. I see them on- line for $189.00 + shipping and that's from this side of the Pacific. The might get down to $150 before Xmas. It's going to be a popular kit. I'm sure it not a perfect kit, but you have to give Trumpeter credit for bring out a kit this expensive in a economic climate like this. It would have been easy to put it on the backburner for a while.
  10. I use ACC, tube glue and 5 min. epoxy. Testors liquid is too runny for me. I've got cars I assembled with tube glue years ago and never had problem with it bleeding thru. Like they say "if you think your using the right amount, it's probably too much." I just never finish anything.
  11. Model shipbuilders use an odd apron. The loop goes around your neck like normal and the other end is attachs to the edge of your workbench. I don't know what you do if the phone rings and it's nature calling.
  12. They're just toying with us. The only way Mosely and Bernie are going out is feet first.
  13. Nice job! 1/48 scale is for young people with good eyesight. Still some of the subjects are very interesting and I might try one someday.
  14. 1/24, 1/25 mostly. F-1 cars are usually 1/20. If the subject is interesting, I might just cross the line!
  15. Bernie is a moron, a very rich moron, but still a moron. He is doing his best to kill F-1 in his own self-interest. He couldn't care less about racing.
  16. The Stutz is just dying for detail work. Pretty cool all in all.
  17. I applaud anyones effort to invest money in a project like this. I know the price is steep, but you have to look at in in the terms of value recieved. You get a lot of satisfaction from building something this big. My problem is I have nowhere to display something this big.
  18. Hi, I'm new to this forum but I recognize people here from other forums. I'm mostly interested in race cars and sports cars. I do have interest in most things to do with model cars and am looking forward to being a member here.
