  1. That's an awesome color combo! Fenders look great, too!
  2. Charlie is right about getting the youth involved in our hobby. We have three sons, and only one has taken an interest in building at all. He realizes he needs to put the XBox controller down once in a while. Anyway, great job on your kit, I really like it! The paint is awesome and you have built it really clean! Good job!
  3. A guy runs into a bar and says to the bartender "Gimme five shots of anything and quick!" The bartender abliges and the man slams them all down in under a minute. He then tells the bartender, "Quick gimme five more!" The bartender pours out another five and the man starts to slam them down. The bartender asks "Why you drinkin' so fast, buddy?" The guy says "You'd drink fast too if you had what I have!" Curious, the bartender says "Well what do you have?" the man replies "Fifty cents in my pocket!" A drunk staggers in to a bar and the bartender says "You're wasted! Get outta here before I call the cops!" Mad, the drunk leaves. He stumbles around to the side door of the bar and enters. Once again the bartender tells him to get out. Dejected, he stumbles out and goes around to the back door and enters it. He looks up and before the bartender says anything he yells out "I know, I know, and I'm leavin'! But there's one thing I gotta know! Do you work in every bar in town?"
  4. I just got a Revell '34 Ford coupe in 1:16 scale to replicate my fathers' car, and I was just wondering if anybody knows where I can get a set of wheels made for it. They are a wide steel wheel with spokes on the outer lip. Basically all I really need are the outer wheel and center hub, I can fab the rest. Anybody got an idea or a lathe to try this on? Any help would be appreciated!
  5. Thanks alot! Well, now it's back to the world of flawless finishes and detailing! My ZZ Top Eliminator and '53 Ford Victoria await!

  9. This is my 1941 Chevrolet I built for the farm truck build-off. It was a blast doing a weathering job as it has been a while since I have done one! I used Sophisticated Finishes rusting set and Krylon paints. Alot of chalks and Tamiya weathermaster kits as well. Thanks to everyone over at the farm truck thread, it was a blast being able to do this with all of you and I look forward to seeing your completed trucks! Let's take a look: Thanks for looking, c&c always welcome!

  16. Hey Nick, can I get in on this build with this car? It's the ZZ Top Eliminator car from the '80's. I know it wasn't in a show or movie per say, but it WAS on MTV every 90 minutes back in the day! That is, back when they actually showed music videos! Let me know what you think, and thanks alot! Ed

  21. That's what almost seventy years of work on the farm will do to 'ya, Marshall! Thanks for the compliments! I imagine this one would have a diminished role on the farm these days, you know, down to the farmers' market on Thursdays and Saturdays to sell veggies out of the back, that sort of thing! It's been fun not having to worry about paint shine and the like! May scale back a little on the rust, though!
  22. Okay guys, I'm back! Flu had me down for a little while but I'm back at it today! Let's take a look at what I'm up to: Here are my wheels weathered Here's my chassis Engine completed Drivetrain installed Here's a teaser shot of the cab weathered, told 'ya she was gonna be beat up! That's all for today, interior work tomorrow, so stay tuned!
  23. Mike, I can remember building this kit years ago and painting it bright red with a grey interior. Thanks for the memory. Yours looks real nice, love the color and the wheels! Job well done!
  24. Here's what I have been up to today: Denting up the outside and putting rust holes in 'er Added a little bit of rust paint beneath the primer She will be off to get primered shortly More updates later tonight!
  25. This is my Jada Shelby GT500 that took me about two weeks to complete. This particular kit is about the most accurate of the Jada cars. It is painted Testors One Coat Revvin' Red with a Tamiya Racing white stripe. Interior is all Tamiya sprays and I flocked the carpet and package shelf. Also tinted the rear windows and strip across the windshield. I really like these kits, they are simplified and really make good looking models when completed! Let's take a look: Thanks again for looking, and as always comments and critiques are welcome!
