  1. Hey guys, just wanted to post a few pictures of my son Nicholas' completed model. We started out with snap togethers and we have progressed to this point. It says level 2 on the box but it seems more involved than that! He did it all by himself, only asking me for advice on how to do something. We will probably move on to detail painting on his next kit. I'm sure he would appreciate any comments you guys have and thanks for looking!
  2. Been waiting to see one of these done, and it looks great! Paint is top notch!
  3. James, I think you need to build more Corvettes! I guess I'm just partial, though! Great paint and interior, and you can never go wrong with red on Chevrolets' finest! Good job! Are there any build options in this kit or is it pretty much stock?
  4. Great work on this Fury! If it wasn't sitting on a ledge you would think it was the real thing! Great color combo and what an interesting subject!
  5. You have done the Mysterion justice! Looks great in all respects! Btw..how did you tint the top? Future and food coloring? Thanks for sharing!
  6. Ol' skool custom...me likey!! Paint is incredible and what an interior! Thank the wife for letting you take some pictures!
  7. Jeff, you've got nothing to be sorry about, this is one great truck! Color is great and the wheels look right at home on this old Chevy! Good job!
  8. Really like the color combo and the interior is sharp in blue and white! Tomorrow I will take pictures of my Jada Shelby I just got done. They are fun kits. Nice detailing underneath too, by the way!

    Death Race

Chris, I saw this thing and I just said "Whoa"! You really captured the look of the Death Racers! You need to do a tutorial of how you did the weathering! Good job!
  10. Great work! Your models are a true inspiration to us builders who hope to reach your status! Paint is beautiful and the detailing is awesome!
  11. Great looking car! Kevin is my favorite driver, so it's good to see a car other than the Shell paint scheme! Race worn look fits this car, too!
  12. Jay, that car looks incredible! I always liked the National Guard scheme over the Amp one. Can't wait to see how you did this in the magazine! Thanks for sharing with us.
  13. Looks good, Marshall! I like the wooden bed on it. Gives it the old farm truck look. I hope to get mine kicked into high gear this weekend, I have just been denting mine up right now. Great work!
  14. I'm gonna throw my hat in the ring on this one! This will be my first group build, I guess I'm a lone wolf builder usually! Here's what I got: I am gonna rag out this old Chevy! I haven't weathered in a long time, so this should be fun! Getting all of my items together and should be getting to it by the end of the week. Progress to follow.....
  15. Lookin' good! Vega modifieds were a big part of my youth growing up, so I will be watching this one! Really like the color, too.
  16. Hey Mike, Thanks for the compliments! Basically I changed to Dupli Color primer and that made my prep work alot easier. Followed that up with some sanding and then I shot the Tamiya out of warmed, new cans. Came out real smooth on each layer and when it came time to polish, it was almost not necessary. Followed that up with Scratch-x and some wax, and you see what I got here! By the way, there is no clear on this car, I think you get a more "blacker" finish without it! Thanks again and good luck on your builds! Ed
  17. This is the Jada '06 Corvette Z06, and I have to say it was great fun to build this car! The kit itself is a little unrealistic on the dimensions side, but builds up very nice. Paint is Tamiya TS14 and the interior was done in Testors grey and black. Carbon fiber details and flocking on the carpet are the only additions to this otherwise box stock model. Thanks to Dave for the thread on paint finishing, it worked out great! Enough talk, let's take a look! C&C always welcome!
  18. I'll tell 'ya the level of craftsmanship this week has been unbelievable! So many great new models getting completed. and this is no exception! Both the car and boat are amazing! Good choice of color, and the woodwork is out of this world! Great job!
  19. The flame work is truly incredible! I really like this model!
  20. What a save on this kit! I am gonna go scouring junk boxes at yard sales to find glue bombs now! What color is that, it makes this truck really stand out!
  21. Alex, what an incredible build! When you take in to account that it is 1/43 scale, it just makes it that much more amazing! Love it!
  22. They both look great! I like the RX-7, and these are two fine examples! How did you like building the Aoshima? I ask because I did a Silvia S15 not too long ago and thought that with a little more emphasis on "correctness" they could be great kits.
  23. Nick, your builds just keep getting better and better! Good job on 'ol KITT, I'm sure the Hoff would be proud!
  24. Yeah, definitely an oil leak somewhere! Great job!
  25. Like the color combo, and the ladder bars are a nice touch! Looks like she rolled out of the late '60's! Good job!
