  1. Looks good, Greg! I'm glad you didn't decide to go with the box art and do yellow, that is fugly! I will be watching this one, an Impala like this was in my family some years ago.
  2. I'm really liking how this is turning out! What program did you use for the woodgrain? It looks very convincing!
  3. Really nice work, Denis! Color fits that truck perfectly and the stance is killer!
  4. I like it alot! What kit are those wheels from? Thanks!
  5. That is one sweet ride, Kenny! Paint and decals are awesome! Good job!
  6. Nathan, you Ford boys can sure build a sweet lookin' Chevy! Great work, the paint is awesome! Can't wait to see it finished!

  8. I dunno 'bout the purple, but I like the rest of it! It is pretty cool that you're thinkin' of doing something different with the kit, just need to find something more appealing on the side!
  9. Chuck, I like the way your mind works! This is a cool idea and it looks great! Best part is it looks like it could really happen! Nice work!
  10. Great job, Wayne! Cool subject and great execution. The decals look right at home on this Opel! Good work!

  13. She's lookin' real good, Mark! Good layer of dirt and grime and it will be perfect!
  14. We have no LHS here in Frankfort. Well, we have one who still has "models" in his store name, but there are about ten kits in stock, the rest is all comic books and world of warcrap! Anyway, even when Walmart had kits in stock, the selection here was spotty at best. Hobby Lobby is the best choice, but do some internet searches before you go. I always find 40-50% off coupons online, which can go a long way.
  15. Dave, that is superb! I am really considering buying one of these Deals Wheels kits. You have done an awesome job on this one! Quick question, what type of paint did you use on this? Thanks!
  16. Chris, that is absolutely beautiful! The paint is amazing and the wheels are perfect for that car! I hope you don't race it!
  17. Nick, great job on Christine! This is by far your best work and it looks so cool! Just keep her happy or you know what happens!
  18. Finally getting around to showing you all my progress and a little history of the Eliminator car of the band ZZ Top. This is and excerpt from the Original ZZ Top store: The red 1933 3-window hot rod coupe dubbed “The Eliminator†is closely associated with the 1983 ZZ Top album of the same name, and a dramatic painting of the car is the album cover art. It was featured in a video trilogy from ELIMINATOR, consisting of “Sharp Dressed Man,†“Gimme All Your Lovin’,†and “Legs.†The car itself has since been viewed by hundreds of thousands of car and rock fans since its initial customization by Don Thelen. It also became a best-selling model kit. The 1933 Ford is a true American classic, based on the celebrated and highly collectible 1932 Ford Model B “Deuce†which introduced the Flathead V8 engine to the world The 1933 model year revision included a stretched wheelbase and a new grille with its characteristic pointed-forward slope-at-bottom which resembled the much more pricey Packard. Total sales for this model year rose to 300,000, outstanding for the depression era. The 1932, 1933, and 1934 Fords are among the most desired model years and makes by hot rodders. Album cover: Now that you have seen the end result (hopefully) let's look at what I've done so far: Here is the engine under assembly They must use the chassis from the stock '33 Ford for this kit because the pea shooter muffler and old style battery tray were molded in. No problem, just get out the dremel and start surgery! After two days, this is what I have completed Here is a quick mock up More updates to come!
  19. I've been on a real rock phase here lately: Apocalyptica, Bullet For My Valentine, Dead By Sunrise, that sorta thing! Fave song right now is Down Rodeo by Rage Against the Machine! Heavy stuff, but it gets me into my creative mode! Music is a big source of inspiration for me.
  20. John, I will try to help you out on this one. I have some reference books and I will check 'em out for you. What series is it from for starters?
  21. Marshall, those lights just look "right" on the back of that Vette! I really like them and I have enjoyed watching you put this thing together! Keep goin' buddy!
  22. Off to a great start, I will be watching this one!
  23. I like it, Chuck. Cool, different subject! But since you mentioned it, I think you oughta find a Caravan kit and work your magic on it! Nice work!
  24. looks really good, Chuck! I have seen these cars stock, and they just don't look right! Guess some cars were meant to be Street Rods! Color looks great on it, too!
  25. Good work and welcome to the forum! I always liked the Doty car and the Swindell TMC car. You have built a clean ride!
