  1. You have taken a Monaco and made it cool! Good work!
  2. Amazing work! Your eye for detail is incredible!
  3. Nice old Mopar! And the fact it only took 24 hours is amazing! I'm still looking at the parts trees wondering what I'm gonna do after a day! Good work!
  4. New COT car is quite an undertaking. Nascar and ALMS I really enjoy, but I got so burnt out building the kits, too much repetition! I have a couple of Ernie Irvan M&M's cars, but no K.B. yet.

  5. Hey Matt, you oughta build a Kyle Busch car, nice paint scheme! I am a Harvick fan myself!

  6. This is my Revell C5-R that Johnny O and company won with at Daytona in the 24-Hour race. I cut it all to pieces and it is my intention that I will build a pit diorama to finish this car off. Painted as usual with Tamiya sprays and clears. I did a little detail work like adding lines and adding padding on the transmission tunnel, but to be honest this kit already has alot of detail. Hope you enjoy: Thanks for looking, and feel free to comment!
  7. Felix, you just keep crankin' out one incredible car after the other! Nice work!
  8. Zoli, outstanding work! I love this kit, I currently have four of them! Blue seems to be the color of choice, and your paint is awesome!
  9. Nice save Ross! Your pinstripe and paint work makes me wanna take my projects and trash 'em!
  10. Hey everybody! Thanks for checking out my profile and I hope you like some of the kits I have built! Tips and comments are always welcome!

  11. This is my version of the Revell SW&C '41 Willys. I saw this kit on the hobby shop shelf and just really took to the box art. The paint is Tamiya black with Tamiya clear, then polished and waxed. Nothing earth shattering here, just wanted to build this oob and I really like it. I will have to dig out my Big John Willys to complement this one. Thanks for looking!
  12. I will post them tomorrow, Harry!
  13. This is the Revell reissue of the '57 Cadillac Brougham. I wasn't real excited about building this kit due to the fact that it is the original tooling. Guess I'm spoiled by all the newer kits and what they contain. Anyway, I made the best of it and I think it turned out okay. Color is Testors Fiery Orange and the interior is Testors interior gray. The 24's really set this one off. I have made side moldings to cover the seam running up the length of the body after taking these pictures and decided to fill it out. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments!
  14. Jimmy, that thing is just awesome! Your attention to detail and weathering are spot on! Great color, too. Thanks for sharing this car, have a safe tour overseas, and thank you for your service to this country! Take care, Ed
  15. That is amazing work! The outside shots look so realistic.
  16. Great job, Felix. I really like your building style, clean and detailed. Paint looks incredible and those wheels stand out, you must have spent alot of time detail painting those!
  17. Goats and crows in the same post! Looks good, very realistic. Although it would be a shame if somebody let a GTO get in this condition!
  18. Beautiful car! Big john would be proud! What did you use for the candy red?
  19. Thanks, Felix. I use Tamiya polishes as well. Coarse, fine, then finish followed up with Scratch Doctor polish. Then I wax with Meguiars. Works great for me. I like the "thin" appearance of Tamiya clears, more realistic than some two part clears. You will enjoy building this kit, I did! Thanks again! Ed
  20. This is Revell of Germany Ferrari California. I finished it in Tamiya metallic black with Tamiya clear, then polished it. There are so many red and yellow Ferrari's in this world, it was nice to change it up. Interior is flocked and photoetched parts are used here and there throughout the build. Beautiful car and I hope you all enjoy! Thanks for looking! Ed
  21. Thanks for the compliments! Everything went together fine, you just have to sand down the panel that holds the hood hinges in place a little bit or else the body won't sit on the chassis correctly. Other than that, the whole final assembly process was a breeze.
  22. Hey everybody! It's been a loooong time since I have posted anything, mainly because I haven't picked up my camera in forever. I have completed projects, and I will post them as I get a chance. For now, this is my most recent completion, the new ZR by Revell. I love this kit and I have bought several kits. Let's take a look: I went with Jetstream Blue on this one. It is actually Tamiya Light Blue Metallic over a Silver Leaf base. It really makes the metallic pop. Wheels were stripped and redone in Alclad, they are a really great casting, but lose their detail buried in all that Revell chrome coating! SMS carbon fiber was used on the roof, chin spoiler, and ground effects. I like this shot. Interior was done in two tone and I flocked the carpets, as well as carbon fibered the center stack. I really do value your questions and comments, it's the only way we can grow in this hobby. Thanks for looking! Ed
  23. Ya know, I had the convertible in my hand at my LHS, but I put it back. May give it a try though since it sounds like it may be a decent shelf kit. Thanks for the info.
  24. I gotcha,Curtis. Sounds so simple I hope I can pull it off! <pun intended> Thanks for the tip!
  25. I am using SMS carbon fiber decals, and I did a rather large area. There was a little overlap and now that it has all dried I would like to trim and remove the excess. There lies the problem. I have tried decal solvent to try and soften them up, but no luck. Anybody have any other ideas for me? Thanks for your help! Ed
