  1. Looks real good, Doug! You have good paint skills for being a new modeler. Fwiw, if you get some glue for clear parts, you won't have that milky look to your windows! Hope it helps!
  2. Turned out great, Dale! Your decal work is first rate!
  3. Simply beautiful car, sir! The paint is flawless and that interior is super clean! Looks like you could just hop in and go for a ride.
  4. Model, the wheels just look too fake to me. Good one, Harry!
  5. Real, but I don't know why. It just doesn't look like a model or diecast.
  6. Dale, She's lookin' real good! I knocked the dust off mine and will be doing the #1 car because of your build! Have a question though, what brand carbon fiber are you using for the interior? It looks like it lays down real nice! keep goin'! Ed
  7. Nice work! Keep those Happy Harvick cars comin'!
  8. I'm gonna say real. It looks like the photographer is in the reflection on the fron fascia, and he looks in scale to the car. That, plus the tires and what looks like road debris kicked up on the front of the rear wheel flare.
  9. That is frickin' awesome! You did that wit a sharpie? I'm lucky if I can trim out a window with a straight edge and a sharpie! Great job!
  10. You mean you didn't want it jacked to the sky??? Looks awesome, a great recovery from the original kit. Paint is very nice and the engine looks real clean! Good work!
  11. Here are some more pics of my Eliminator '33 Ford that I built for the community build. Thanks again for starting this build, Nick! I am thinking about adding another build to this one, if I get my Corvette C5R and '53 Victoria finished soon! Thanks for checkin' it out!
  12. Nice job on this one, Mick! I have always liked this paint scheme but I don't know why it never came out in diecast. Decals and weathering are first rate! I think Dave was wondering about the tire marks on the side. Yes, the cars start out with fenders that extend out past the tires. But this "fender" is little more than thin sheet metal, and with the offset that is built into the front end, it doesn't take much to crush these fenders back and leave the big black rings on the sides of the cars. Hope this helps, Dave!
  13. Looks great, Mike! I really like the work you did on the rally wheels. Nicest Camaro ever made, and you have built a great replica of it!
  14. Hey everybody! This is my just completed Eliminator from Monogram. I just love this car, I guess growin' up in the '80's you couldn't help but see this car on MTV all the time! Testors Italian Red was used on the exterior with Tamiya clear, four coats of each. The interior was done in Humbrol leather, with craft ribbon used for the cloth pieces. Flocked carpeting, removal of old stock exhaust, dechroming of some parts, and installation of distributor and wires were a few of the things I did to this car. For more info and build pictures, see the Tv and Movie community build in the build section (thanks Nick). I present to you: THE ELIMINATOR!!! Thanks for checkin' her out, and please, comments and criticisms are always welcome!
  15. Here's a little update on the Eliminator! Body got painted and polished and I am in the middle of final assembly Interior was painted Humbrol leather and the fabric was done with craft ribbon. I just cut it to size and attached it with white glue. I then went over the fabric with clear red to give it a little more color Here is the body and chassis put together and snugged down so the stance was right. If you don't adjust the ride height it will look like a 4X4! This final picture is the top installed and she's just about ready to be decaled Now I just have to wait for a nice day and I will put 'er in the completed section! Thanks for hosting this build Nick, I had a lot of fun building this car with y'all!
  16. Beautiful Vette, Hawk. You should be very proud! That paint is flawless and the details are great! Good job!
  17. Al, that first box is hilarious! It looks like the guy is saying "Alright enough lookin' now go get me some dinner!" I must be tired, cuz I looked at that and just cracked up. Anyway, Hobby Lobby is the way to go on this as was stated before. With the 40% you save you can get all the other supplies, that's what I did!
  18. Curt, I followed this wip and it is great to see it completed! Alot of hours and talent went into this build, and it shows! It is simply beautiful!
  19. It's coming along great, Mike! Really like the color and the detail work you did on that engine! As a former Vermonter, I've gotta say I don't envy you guys up north and all that cold weather you have to deal with! Keep up the good work!
  20. Very "punny"! Just wish I'd have thought of it myself! Anyway, the Merc looks great Juergen! Paint is beautiful!
  21. Matt, all your builds are awesome, but that orannge dually is sick! I would love to build one of those! What kit are those wheels from?
  22. Ivory white would look really good with the root beer color. Gonna be sweet however you do it!

Dale, I have this kit in the "to-do" pile as well! Mine is the opposite, though. I have painted all the chassis parts but haven't touched the body. I love this kit, it was before Tamiya got super cheap and started omitting details on the interiors. I will be watching this one, maybe it will kickstart my build of this one!
  24. Really cool! It's got an old school dirt track modified feel to it. Nice Vdub!
  25. Lookin' good so far Steve! Appears to be a very nice kit, any problems with it yet?
