  1. Very nice model! I love teardrops. I built a couple models, and a real one. I can't believe you built this one in 8 hours! Great work! Sam
  2. Here's the 53 Ford I use on my garage diorama. I haven't gotten around to adding a wrecker boom to it yet.
  3. They're all nice builds. I really like the two tone Camaro and the rusty panel truck. Very nice work! Sam
  4. Great build! Looks like a barn find hot rod that someone's grandfather might have built decades ago. Very realistic, and nicely done! Sam
  5. Two Delahaye's in two weeks? That's more than I've seen in my life!
  6. Love it! The straight 8 is killer! Great rusty finish, too! Sam
  7. That's how a custom should look! It's a beauty! Great finish! Sam
  8. That's an amazing model! Really well done, and it's so unusual. The go-kart is cool too! Very well done. Sam
  9. How about a Dodge A-100 pickup (old Little Red Wagon kit) converted to Corvair powered front wheel drive? I'm just finishing this model up.
  10. I think I'm going to say model every week, then eventually I'll be right.
  11. Those are both beauties, but that 50 Ford is one of the best models I've ever seen! Incredible work! The paint is amazing! Sam
  12. Another nice Deuce! Great paint and detail work! Love those 32's! Sam
  13. Very cool Deuce! Looks like a real hot rod should look. Nice job! The spiderweb grille is really a cool touch. Just one suggestion - the roll bar has some kinks in it. I assume it's made from aluminum tubing. That stuff is just about impossible to bend without kinking. I suggest bending one up out of music wire, 1/8" or 3/32" diameter. Still a beautiful model, though! Sam
  14. I'm late, but Happy Birthday, Ed! I hope it was a good day! Sam
  15. I always thought the Avanti's lines were too good to improve upon, but your subtle mods really look good! The interior is great, as is the engine bay detail! Very nice custom! Sam
  16. That's a real hot rod! Great build. The engine and interior detailing is excellent. Nice work! Sam
  17. Nice! I never met a 32 Ford I didn't like. This one is excellent - really captures the old school look. I like the stock 32 front wheels and 37 grille. Both nice touches! Sam
  18. Cranky (and anyone interested), here is a link to my Flickr album where I have lots of model and diorama pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/12482094@N07/. There is also a set of pics of my full scale teardrop trailer build from 2006. Thanks for your compliments. I appreciate them! Sam
  19. Wow! Excellent build! The best one I've seen of the Skyliner. Fixing those hinges really helps the realism. I built one of the original kits back in the 1960's, and it was a bear to build for a teenager. Seeing yours makes me want to try it again! Sam
  20. Crazy is the word, but in a good way! That's going to look so cool! Sam
  21. Hey, all. I just built this AMT 66 Bird convertible. It's a stock build (lowered) with the box art color scheme. Paint is Krylon light blue and white. The kit is from old tooling, and has a few issues like a 1964 interior, and no column shifter (I made one from craft wire). It had no whitewalls, so I used decals from a 69 Charger kit. This was my first try at using BMF on the windshield frame. Vent windows and other trim is silver paint. I'm easing my way into the BMF world, finally! The BMF wasn't too hard to apply, but takes more time than the silver marker pens I normally use. I was pleased with the results. The model isn't fancy, but I always liked the 1960's T-Birds! Comments welcome.
  22. Very cool - lots of character! Nice work! Sam
  23. Nice beater! I like the stripes and the trunk full of "stuff". Looks very realistic. Sam
  24. What a beauty! Perfect colors, and great workmanship. Love it! Sam
  25. What a great history lesson! I'm glad those models are being restored and preserved.
