  1. Super build! The trunk detail is great! Engine detail too! Very nice Mustang. Sam
  2. You did that since 10 this morning?! Wow! Incredible work! I'm thinking this and your Airfloat with 1950's tow vehicles would make a great 1950's campground diorama! Sam
  3. It sure looks real, so I'll say model, because I'm never right!
  4. I used the R&D Unique metal front end (1/24 scale) on a Revell Deuce roadster several years ago, and it came out OK. I had to spread the frame rails a little to make it fit. Here's a pic.
  5. Now that's cool! Nice detail on such a tiny model. The color is great! Sam
  6. This 61 Ranchero is my latest build - a quickie. Found the kit on eBay for $5.00 on a Friday, and Monday morning it's in my hands! It's built pretty much OOB, but I cut down a parts box roll pan for the front and added an original 61 Falcon custom grille from my ancient parts. It's a bit of a sloppy fit, as it was in 1961. Rear pan is a puttied up bumper. I put 59 Caddy-type bullet taillights on the rear, and lowered the truck about 3 scale inches. Paint is Krylon Pumpkin Orange, and white with Glosskote clear. I love the simplicity of these old tool AMT kits. It's nice to build one with a one piece interior, molded chassis, and metal axles once in a while! Like being 12 years old again! Comments welcome.
  7. Great model! Like Tom T. Hall, I love old pickup trucks, and this one is a beauty! Nice work!! Sam
  8. I just picked up a 61 Ford Falcon Ranchero custom kit on ebay, and it has one, although I don't think the original kit did.
  9. Very cool! Great concept! It's nice to see a diorama of something different! Sam
  10. Very nice build. You've achieved the 60's box art look perfectly! Nice clean work! Sam
  11. Incredible work, Ken! The finished model will be spectacular, I bet! I love those old trailers. I built a 1:1 teardrop five years ago, and a couple teardrop models. Your model might inspire me to build a similar model. Sam
  12. That's a cool rod! Looks like Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies might have built it! Really creative and well done! Sam
  13. Very nice, John! I like those cars built stock, looking like an everyday car from the mid-50's. I built mine stock, too. I wished the kit had included a 6 cylinder engine too. Here's my 57 model built two years ago.
  14. Nice truck! Great detail work, and the dirt underneath is a very realistic touch. Sam
  15. That's going to be so cool! Tow vehicle suggestion: 53 Hudson. Sam
  16. I'm not a real NASCAR fan, but I like models of the old cars from when stock car racing used basically stock cars. This Ford is a beauty! Great work! Sam
  17. Very clean build of one of Ford's finest! Good work. Sam
  18. That looks really good! It's amazing how the Camaro roof changes the whole looks of the Chevelle. I like it! Sam
  19. I agree, very nicely done! Sam
  20. I voted real, but real or model, I want one! I always liked the first Toronados.
  21. Love it! Those old Imperials were beauties, and your model looks great to me! Nice work! Sam
  22. Here's a shot of my diner diorama with a 65 Galaxie convertible in the parking lot. The model is exactly as I built it in 1965. I have a Galaxie from every year from 1959 through 1969 that I built back in those years.
  23. Sweet Mopar! Nicely done all over, and the interior is super cool! Sam
  24. Very cool! Nice interpretation of the sketch. Great color scheme! Sam
  25. I missed this thread earlier. I ride a 21 speed Diamondback Wildwood bike when I get time (not often, it seems). This summer I rebuilt this old Ross Barracuda. My sons found it discarded in an old stone quarry nearby about 15 years ago. It's been in our basement till now. The rear wheel was badly twisted, and the seat was junk. I found a set of wheels for free, and bought a new seat, and whitewall tires, then painted it up like a rat rod. It's fun to ride, but sucks on hills. Back in the 1960's I had a Barracuda similar to this one. I couldn't afford a Stingray!
