  1. Hi Francis, just dropping in to check out the thread, and I'm in awe of your progress. Simply fantastic! -Art
  2. Nice work, guys! Feels so good to have a new MCM sitting here.
  3. I love this one, Wayne! Nice work.
  4. Thanks, Gary! Just a quick box stocker to get something done! Hope you're well and building on!
  5. Neat project, Andrew! I like the fab work you've done so far. -Art
  6. Hi Francis, I just stumbled on this thread for the first time and I'm in total awe. Amazing! Keep up the good work! -Art
  7. Amazing, Tim. Just amazing...
  8. Jeff, I made those decals several years ago when I was building a replica Corvette. I wanted a realistic filter, not just one with a logo on it, which is not how they actually are. So I copied the real verbiage from the filter that was used back in the day (would have been '72 on that project), but they look good on any build. If you go with an AC Delco filter that's white, then you could make a convincing inkjet decal on clear paper at home and it would look pretty good.
  9. Hi Mark, thanks for the nice comments. The tire decals on this one came in the kit. You might check out Indycals.net. They have several tire decals and, although they aren't specifically NASCAR decals, they might have something that works.
  10. You're welcome! Give it a shot.
  11. Hi Jeff, I just used Zap-a-Gap Medium CA.
  12. Howard, I shot them with Testors lacquer dullcote and applied a little color from a Tamiya weathering kit to the lettering.
  13. Thanks for the comments! The lenses are Liquid Glass. I have it available in my store HERE. I love the stuff. It's water soluble, and dries fairly fast and crystal clear. I love it for gauges more so than epoxy because it doesn't yellow. The tires are rubber, yes. Maybe a little too soft.
  14. Hey Jeff, thanks! 1. The headers were painted with different shades of Alclad II metalizers and then some Alclad transparent blue, hot sepia and smoke. And lastly, dullcote. 2. Not all of them. They have several that are all-new designs, like the older Monte Carlos and Oldmobiles, and they are 1/25 scale. The 1/24 scale kits like this one are the old Monogram molds, with some additions here and there. The nose on this one is new and was not available from Monogram.
  15. Jim, thanks! Sorry for the late response, but after I posted Under Glass, I forgot to check this thread. I really do appreciate the comments! Hey Bruce! Thank you. There's a lot to go wrong with the big decals, that's for sure. Since you posted this a couple of months ago, I need to look for your build. Hopefully it's online. Appreciate it!
  16. Looking forward to this, Curt! You and John will make some crazy rides, I'm sure.
  17. Bruce, sorry I missed your question. It's 1/24 scale. Thank you!
