I haven't had any problems with it yet (bought some a couple weeks ago here in Florida).......don't know if it makes any difference but I only buy the stuff that says "concentrated industrial strength" on the label.
Thanks Larry.
Good idea Ray, but I doubt seriously I could find an LED small enough, and it would be too difficult to run a fiber optic up his backbone.
I wonder if any of the current crop of builds shows are ever going to get right? I know (at least from my point of view)...I want to see the iron & how it was done - the drama and all that other B.S. just turns me off and sends me channel surfing. Seems like the programs that don't have the drama twist spend most of the program advertising sponsors products....that's what commercials (and there are more than enough of them) are for....right?
Thanks Dave, you're right about the cameras...they've already been down the other end, at least they let me watch the monitor with that one.
I think everything will be fine....if not, I'll just have 'em swap out my 9" for a M.W. eleven.
That's a riot Jim......he will have goggles but they will be pushed back on his head and no way will I put a scrapple sandwich in his shiftin' hand.
Although unintentional it does look a bit like him ......skinnier perhaps....hee, hee.
Okay guys I'm back....there's been so much water under the bridge with this body that I'm going to start a new thread titled "1/8th '71 Cuda" here on MCM.
Steveo was interested in seeing pics of the 5 piece mold and a show & tell about how this body is being produced...no problem.
I have to check into the hospital Friday...they seem to think that I may have an issue where the doesn't shine. At least they are only using one camera and not sending in a whole film crew.
I was in an area in the Nam where agent orange was used and cancer is a concern.
If all goes well watch this section for the thread I mentioned above as I'll posting pics of the molds, the bodies as they are laid up and so on. I reckon if you investors see first hand what goes into producing a body by hand you'll have a better understanding of just what's involved and how long it takes.
I'll show you how.......then if you want to tackle a new body yourselves, have a ball.
Terry, I'm likin' where you're headed but as already mentioned a little troubled by the size of the rivets. If the were smaller they would appear more like rivets. Flame throwers and visor are sweet man.
Jesse, I guess you could call me a dumpster diver of sorts....I will not buy anything I can fabricate from regular ol' house hold items.
I figure if it looks right.......it is!
Besides, times are tough & that leaves me a few coins for my 1:1 stuff.
Bart...what am I going to do with you........are you expecting me to put a squished dragon fly in his teeth? Or perhaps a smashed forehead fly?
I lost interest in the Pickers show when they offered 20 grand for a beat up knucklehead....the seller wouldn't part with it for less than 40. I sold mine (running and in good condition) for 10 large 5 years ago and felt it was a fair price. Whatever........I figure if inflated ridiculous prices blow your skirt up, that's fine with me.
In other words, if it works for you...that's all that matters.
