  1. Here's another one I am working on, Got the cab with this work done to it, the hood master was tweaked so I cut it apart and am in the process of tryin to get it straighten out. Any custom truck guys out there ??? What do you think ???
  2. Not sure, I have never bought this guys stuff before, and he dont have the best pics in his listing, so maybe proceed with caution.
  3. Yep that book is hard to come by, I had two, the hard cover and the paperback. I sold the hard cover through fee bay a couple monthes back. Went cheaper than I had wished, less than 100.00 bucks.
  4. Great work so far Ray, I like it. what you done with the gill is very cool and I think really improved the look of the truck.
  5. Your right on it,,if my guy can end up cutting them for me, they will be closer to 100.00 a set I would say,,,and I dont think you will buy that set on e-bay for the 59.99 startin bid,,,I would say they bring well over 100.00, I have seen the same Drennen wheel set fetch 250.00 on fee bay before, so mark it watch it and let ya jaw drop at the end of it,,,
  6. I just saw this on Evil-Bay,,,you might want to give it a look. http://cgi.ebay.com/1970-chevelle-ss-wagon...=item35a595b75b
  7. I don't know if you will ever find any turned alum. wheels at a low price, just toooo much work. I have a guy that is working on some milled alum. bumpers for me and I asked him about trying to do some wheels and breathers for me as well, not sure if it will work out yet, if it dose I will post some pics of them on here when they are done.
  8. I like the paint scheme,,,very nice work. Another thing I saw in the pic that you had masked out your paint stand,,,never thought of that but will be doing it now.
  9. Hey Gary I think the big thing with resin is that alot of cars are offered that are not offered in kit form or in some cases like the 64' Olds and 64' Falcon that I do they were only made in a kit one time and that was in 64'. To get either of those kits will cost you 120.00 + on the Falcon and 250.00 + most of the time on the Olds, so it would be much cheaper to build them in resin, not to mention that it took me over 4 years to find the 64' Olds kit that I have. Hope this helps a bit.
  10. Hey Ray Thanks for the pic. The door latches look more square than rectangular in the pics, is that so or just the angle of the pic ???
  11. Thanks Ray, I will try to come up with the correct ones and fit them to the doors. The stuido has the incorrect ones in it then, so that is another issue with it and whoever done it cast them in the doors, I think I am going to leave them out, would be much easier to paint or foil them as seperate parts I think,,,whats everybody elses thoughts on that. Cast the latches in place or as seperate parts ???? Any input is more than welcome.
  12. Hey Jim, Thanks for the heads up on the door latches, I have not found a good enough pic yet on-line to tell but I will find out for sure and if they are diff I will correct it before I make any molds. WIll have to find the rectangular slam locks some where, I know I don't have any here. You know where to pick those up ??? The T600 hood fits the Stuido Sleeper cab to a tee, I am sure who ever mastered it used a T600 cab for the base of the project. The thing has a few issues but it is useable, I am gona use the mold up and master another one if I recast it. The sleeper is not quite right, a bit longer on one side then the other.
  13. Hey Jim, I will post some pics of the resin on this thread when it is done so stay tuned. Claying up some other parts today, the molds for the IH9300 conversion gave out so I have to get it back up and running have a waiting list on those.
  14. Hey Hey brother George, I was just pokin' at ya a bit on the camera thing. You need to learn how to drive it so we can all take a look at some of those kits you are building.
  15. Hey Ed, Your are right my friend, they are both direct copies from the annual issue AMT 3 in 1 kits. I was hatched out in 64' so I thought it would be cool to have all the 64' annual issue kits. The Hardtop Olds was the last one I needed to have all they made that year, so now the collection is complete. I plan to do the 64' Chevelle wagon, 64' ElCamino, 64' Buick Wildcat hardtop, 64' Bonneville hardtop and maybe the Gran Prix & the GTO, I know the GTO has been repoped to death, but none are as close to correct as the 64" annual issue.
  16. I hope to have them and the 900L hood on my web site in a within a week or two. I have a Daylight cab/studio sleeper now but it is not one that I mastered, bought the molds for it to get the 900L hood/mold. I have some of those cast now but not on the website yet.
  17. Hey Rollinoldskoo...I dont think ole George owns a camera : Here's a few pics of some of my resin
  18. Nope, it's AMT / Ertl,,,I am converting it from a T600 cab to cast out of resin to go with a W900L hood I will be casting to go with it, or you could use a T600 hood on it as well, I will also be offering a T800 hood that will fit it.
  19. Here's something I am working on to go with a 900L hood, I think it would make a great dump or logger or ??? I should have it done soon, working on the interior tub now. Let me know what you think about it.
  20. Hey Craig, I don't think its in production now,,,I could be wrong though. I am pretty sure I have one of the old revell pro modeler kits of that car, cool kit I think it even has a few photo etched parts, grill screen in the front maybe, I would have to take a look and see but I am 99% sure I have one in the stash and the regular 69' Charger pro modler kit too. I will part with either if you need one.
  21. Thanks for the good words on the Olds I think the colors you picked out for the fairlane will look cooooooool
  22. Hey no problem & Congrats on the mini me, that my friend is a live changin' thing, for the better I might add. Thats when I got back into modeling. When our son came along I sold my race car, motorcycles and started building again, keeps me at home and is leaps and bounds cheaper than drag racing 1:1 cars. We live close enough to the local drag strip that I can sit out on the deck and listen to them burn it up, sometimes miss the smell of racing fuel and burning rubber though.
  23. Hey Jeff, I don't think they ever made such a critter I was out in the shop and had the kankerin' to cut something up 2 53' ford cabs and a couple days later this is the end product, glad ya like it.
  24. The engine dose look cool in the Olds, but I am not sure If I want to put the DOHC Hemi in it, might be cool though. Lets see what everbody else has to say about it and I will give it some thought. The truck in the background is the master for a 53' ford I mastered and am casting now, I am working on one of those for Nick's street truck build, he never added me to the list though I don't think. Here's a pic of a mock up I used in my E-Bay and web site ads.
