Reeves Racing

I’m an old guy, 51 and I have been interested in model cars since I was a boy. My family is 4 generations of auto mechanics so I guess it's in my blood. I worked for my Grandfather at his auto repair shop with my dad and two uncles for 18 years. I have certifications from GM but I am not turning wrenches for a living anymore. I was in middle management for an elevator manufacturing company and then with a school bus manufacturing company. Now I am the Restoration Manager for COIT in Louisville. We take care of people who have had water, smoke or mold damage in the home or business. Some of it is emergency work and I like the nature of it and the opportunity to help people who are in a real jam.

I have been married for 28 years to a wonderful woman and I have two kids. My dad and son and I like to drag race as a hobby. We used to go racing 4 or 5 times a season. I have restored a few cars over the years including a garage built drag car out of a 65 Comet two door post. My dad has a 63 Chevy Biscayne.

I like building model race cars the most but I have built a handful of street cars. I like to build to my tastes and draw on my years as an auto tech for details and such. But I still think modeling is an art first and data bank for accuracy second, so don’t tell me I painted something the wrong color. That's bit about me. Thanks for looking in. Mitch
